I am Alan Booth, an ordinary British Man . I'm not one of the famous people that have the same name as me, just an ordinary guy. Welcome to my main blog, a true reliable record of history from the perspective of an ordinary man, a place filled with my thoughts; perhaps my thoughts will persist longer on here than in my brain itself. My twitter I.D. is @alspresso.

e golf
To me in my adult hood it is a fun game because you are managing the itinerary, the club and how the ball is hit. It is a bit like candy crush and games like that.
I am grateful for all the games in the world in this short life.

commander keen
The sounds in the game were also wonderful, the enemies were well animated. To me it was one of the greatest games of all time.
The game also had a top down level lobby and when he completed a level he would throw a flag marked K onto a flag pole next to the level.
I often wonder if ID software the company that made keen would make keen 3d or a new commander keen game. Well we will see.

Losing my training wheels
I wanted to be able to ride my bike on 2 wheels but 3 things are needed that I had to learn. Firstly, I had to balance my bike and secondly I had to sustain the balance long enough to gain momentum and thirdly I had to shift my weight slightly when I steered left or right. All these things could not be taught to me verbally, I had to figure it out for myself, just like when I learnt to walk. I will never forget the day I lost my training wheels.
One day I was riding my bike and I noticed that the training wheels were not touching the ground, I felt euphoria at that moment because I knew at that point that I was one with my small vehicle. It was a small thing but to me it was awesome. I was filled with joy. I remember taking my bike to the park one day and riding up and down, I think the park was called Montrose park, there was a train line on a dyke that ran parallel to the park and I remember racing a train on my bike.

My phone is a miracle
Never has there been a time in my life when my phone has worked so hard as it does now. There are so many things I do on my phone nearly every day.
I write this blog
Listen to radio via internet
I write e books
Record audio casts
Watch TV
Call people
Check where I am
Read e books
Control my tv smart box (roku)
Listen to music
Learn Spanish
Get quick answers
Read wikipedia
And much more.
My phone works very hard indeed. I have learned so many things from my phone and create so many things on my phone. In star trek it is called Tri-quarter and my phone works like one. My phone is more powerful than my first computer, my first computer had a dual core processor with 3.1 gigahertz processing power. My phone has more than that and more memory and more graphics. Yet I forget I am holding a computer in my hand.
Today I am grateful for this opportunity to have a powerful computer on the palm of my hand.

Deep space threat
The UK government recently opted to upgrade their Nuclear deterrent. I don't know if that is good or bad. What I do know is that there is a bigger threat to everyone. The threat is deep space.
Large fast moving objects are moving through space. When one of them strikes the Earth it could destroy the food chain and cause the death of millions of people. It is also possible that mankind could become extinct.
I don't understand why we are prepared to shoot missiles at other countries and not to stop Asteroids and Comets from colliding with earth. Is the Deep space object collision not inevitable?
Today I am grateful that the disaster has not happened and I am also pleased that world war 3 has not started and may never start if we are wise.

Globes and maps are upside down
Today I am grateful for the Earth because without it we're nothing. It is a space ship that flies in a circle around the sun and keeps us alive.
When I look at the Earth I see it differently, to me Antarctica and Australia are at the top of the Earth and Europe, North America and Russia are at the bottom. I live in England but I still see it that way, Why? Because the South is well defined, Antarctica is a land mass directly on the top and is surrounded by an unbroken expanse of ocean. This would make it the top of the planet. And the Earth emits magnetic particles from the south pole and they land on the North pole. It is like a Geyser spraying energy but the Geyser is on the other side. It is not spraying from the North but from the south.
I feel like all the maps in the world are upside down. In my version if the world I am living on the bottom portion of the planet. Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and Antarctica are on the top of the planet. And there is one thing to remember, there is no up or down in space.
