Careful Flower

One of the most beautiful sights in my world is seeing the Daisy flowers emerge. There is more to them than what meets the eye. They are a welcome sight at the start of spring. The plant that sends out the flower is being careful, it is trying to make the flowers visible to the insects but only just enough because the weather in spring is unpredictable so the plant may need to send more than one flower. If the grass is long, the stem of the flower is long, if the grass is short, the stem is short. It doesn't want to stick out too much because it may be eaten, so it has to be perfectly balanced, not too visible but enough to get the bees attention. They are little worlds, little living islands; they have a yellow forest of micro flowers in the middle of the pod. Tiny creatures may spend their whole life living on the flower, little mites and microscopic beings.  I don't touch them, I just stop to look at them. The white petals of the flower are like a tiny paper valley, bright and carefully balanced.
I will never get tired of drawing them. They were around before I was here and they will continue to emerge from the grass after my time is up in this world. Their purpose is always the same, gather pollen from insects to make seeds of a plant that is good at staying alive.

Our lives change every year but they stay the same, a familiar sight, the longer you look at them them the calmer a person could feel. The strong early spring flower, the daisy. The careful one.

End of November Budget

I recently learned that the elected labour party of Britain had prepared a budget; a plan for how public spending will be gathered and divided up. It wasn't well received.
The bank of England who are politically independent of the government consider it to be daft as do the opposition leadership. Many journalists on both sides of the political polarity also consider it to be daft. I think even the civil servant that leaked the budget early probably thinks it's a bad idea. (They want to find who it is and send the person to jail)
I'm not an expert myself, I would say lifting the spending cap for universal credit recipients with more than 2 children would be like giving them a third breadwinner. If you freeze my earnings allowance at twelve and half thousand and I get a pay rise in spring, that would mean I pay more. They set it up so everyone will pay more after spring 2026.  I don't know much but I know that if you take money from one person and give it to another, you're not creating more money or jobs.

It's not too late to change it if they think it is wrong.
Good luck and godspeed to them all.

Spring Time

It is Spring time now, you can tell, activists have started climbing up stuff and gluing themselves to things, "Yawn". It would be nice if they opened their minds a bit and  considered the other side of the story. Narrow minded people that only embrace one view. It will officially be spring after the 20th of march but I saw Daisy flowers sprouting out of the ground and the temperature rose above 10 degrees Celsius during the day.

It looks like NASA has been preparing to go back to the moon; back in the '70s it was all about the Apollo missions, I wasn't born then. Now it is about the Artemis missions. They're building space launch vehicles with similar power to the Saturn 5 but more modular. There are separate booster rockets and the main rocket parts are reusable. They don't need to rebuild a whole space ship every time they launch. The cost is everything these days. Everything needs a cheap solution. Those astronauts are very brave, travelling to space is very dangerous.

Helter Skelter Spring

It is true Spring now, the word for the season and the object called a spring are spelled the same and sound the same so when I think of spring time, I think of things that have a helix shape as well. I was remembering riding the helter Skelter at the fair ground. I thought it was clever because they realised that the stiff fibers on a coir-Matt has very little friction when it is placed on a metallic surface or on wood. The coir-matt allowed you to go down a shallow prolonged slide that spirals downwards. Without the coir-matt the slide wouldn't work because the slope angle was too shallow.
This spring is the first time I tried the Kombucha drink. It is a tea mixed with juice and live bacteria. The bacteria are friendly and the ones that are able to pass through your stomach alive start to live in your intestines and help your guts. You could say it has lasting health benefits. Since I took the drink I have been farting a bit less than normal.

Spring Trance

It is march, one of the three spring months. A common thought an ordinary man like myself has is the love of being lost in what I'm doing. Playing computer games and listening to language lesson at the same time in the darkness of the night. If you're leaning Spanish while you play then you'll have no guilt about the time spent.
There is nothing much to talk about. My society is struggling to balance itself out. They're trying to slow down inflation keep everyone in order. That's it.
Another way to think less is browse online shops, look at loads of products without buying anything. I look at different t-shirts and devices. Sometimes a buy stuff but most the time I'm just looking.
Nothing like being lost in a book though l.

Trickster Spring

Earlier in the week I noticed there was daisies sprouting out of the grass in roadside grass verges. I also noticed fruiting trees were producing blossom yet it is February, the tail end of winter in this part of the world. We had a very mild winter. I consider it spring when I see daisies in the grass. This year I'll call it spring on the first day of March for the sake of neatness.
We're lucky in a way, on Friday I injured my right arm but it is healing. The triceps at the back of the arm were swollen and it hurt a lot. I don't understand how I injured it, the injury appeared gradually. just walking was painful because the arm didn't want to move. My arm is healing, If I was a robot then I would need to go to a repair shop to fix my arm.

Spring Starts

Yesterday I saw daisies in the grass so I'll call it spring now. Some people in Britain call it spring when the temperature outside rises to double digits >9°c, others call it spring on the 1st day of March. Some people in Britain call it spring on the equinox; when the days and nights are equal in length on 20th of March, some people call it spring on Easter, others call it spring when daylight saving pulls the clocks back one one hour. I call it spring when I see daisies or dandelions sprouting their flowers in the grass.

I saw on the news that a snow blizzard is coming to Britain out of the blue on Tuesday  and Wednesday. The funny thing is my smart speaker didn't acknowledge any march snow, it told me no snow is expected in my town on Tuesday. Let's see who is wrong. The smart speaker or the news. Here in Britain we get spurts of snow in the middle of spring sometimes, even after a warm spell.

Late February thoughts

We're approaching the final third of February, some common thoughts I'm having right now is wondering why London is expanding the Ules zone; It's a zone that charges motorists that have vehicles that  pollute more than a certain amount. I don't live in London anymore but when I lived there, I voted for Sadiq Khan to be in the mayor's office to keep Zac Goldsmith out because I didn't want an eco warrior punishing motorists to improve the air quality of London. The air quality will fix itself when they figure out a way to make electric cars cheap. It turns out he is doing the very thing I thought Zac would do. It's out of my hands now because I don't live in London so I can't vote for the next Mayor. I believe it's right to improve the environment but ordinary people shouldn't be punished for it in my view.

Another thing I was wondering was if Nintendo were developing a new games console, if they were, it would be nice it if could take 3DS cartridges as a bonus  feature because it would be nice to play my 3DS games on the TV. There are still many 3DS cartridges being sold second hand in CEX trading stores and I have a small collection of my own.

I was also thinking that time is going by very fast. It feels like weeks are going by like days. I can't believe it's already nearly Spring. I call it spring when I see daisies in the grass. It's officially spring on the 20th of March. Most people that I know of call it spring on the first day of march and the end of Spring is considered to be the last day of May. They say March, April and May are spring. Then June July and August are Summer. My son was born in the Middle of Spring, the best time of the year to be born because April is a bit warm in Britain so you can go out or have a BBQ. Plus Easter is close by.
