What June 2023 Means to me

June started off ok, the issue of abortion popped up out of the blue because we learned that a lady was sentenced to 29 months in prison for taking an abortion pill during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I consider a fetus in the second trimester of pregnancy to be an infant so I would restrict abortions to the 1st trimester except for health reasons. If the pregnancy puts the mother's life in danger then I would allow an abortion outside of the first trimester. If the baby was earmarked to die because of a birth defect then the abortion would be euthanasia I guess. I'm not a law maker so it has nothing to do with me. 

Then later in the month it was the King's birthday, Father's day and the longest day of the year in the north of the Earth. Just before the longest day of the year we had the Oceangate Titan submarine loss, we thought it was trapped in the ocean with oxygen running out but we later learned that it imploded from day one.  

Towards the end of the month there was rioting in France, I thought they were racist because they only riot when someone that isn't white gets accidentally killed by police, when they kill a white person they don't care. They riot in the Nike shops and get free shoes. Shame on them. Kids these days are spoiled brats that only care about themselves. 

What October means to me

For me, October 2020 was a bit windy and dark, lots of heavy duty clouds were being blown around. 

There were rumours looming of a second lockdown. On the last thursday of October, our Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed that we will spend 4 weeks in a second lockdown, this means all the non essential shops will be forced to close and we will only be able to buy food and things like that for most of November. This is because the transmission rate of the virus is about 1.5, that means 10 Brits are infecting 15 Brits on average, they call it the "R" rate. Just under 50,000 Brits were killed by the virus so far.

The previous year we were struggling with a Brexit deadlock, now it is a lockdown. We are restricted from meeting people socially, no eating out, no gyms, no shopping except for food and medicine, no cinema no visiting friends. 

Earlier in the week there was a large earthquake in Turkey and Greece and a mini Tsunami in the Mediterranean sea. There was civil conflict in France over a magazine that offends many in the name of freedom of speech. I believe a teacher and a Priest were both killed in separate incidents. 

There was a lot of rivalry between Donald Trump and Joe Biden for the American general election. It will be interesting to see who wins. I maintain a neutral political polarity, I don't support anyone. I'm British anyway so it has nothing to do with me. 

Greenhouse nonsense

Many governments around the world think there is a big problem with global warming, I don't. I will tell you why.

I think that global warming is real and is a hazard but I don't think there is enough fossil fuels on Earth to cause a lasting greenhouse chain reaction.

In my opinion, global warming is a problem that is fixing itself. The inconvenient truth is that is is more and more inconvenient to harvest crude oil. It costs more and more money to get oil and coal out of the ground so people are motivated to get more fuel efficient cars and electric cars are getting cheaper and cheaper to make. Solar panels are also getting be cheaper to make.

Oil and coal near the surface is running out so bigger drills and diggers are needed that cost more money to get to the oil that is deeper and more out of reach. Eventually there will be no fossil fuels left.

Why should leaders like President Macron steal money from people to fix a problem that is fixing itself?

What November Means to me

November 2018 was about discovery and a huge deal. It was in November 2018 that I discovered that my unborn child was a boy and at the same time I discovered that NASA had landed a probe on the planet Mars called inSight with the intention of peering inside the planet, good luck to them.

I would be happy if my child was a boy or a girl.
It is a boy and we are thinking about possible names to give the child when he is born.

November is also about the Brexit exit deal that was prepared by our prime Minister, Therasa May and leaders of the other European Union member states. I sense that many politicians intend to reject the deal because they think it is a bad deal. They will soon vote on implementation of the deal.

There was wide spread rioting in France because Macron increased fuel tax. This event reminds me of the time I learned of Margret Fatcher's poll tax. If people live a privileged life then they may forget the ordinary people struggle to live in this world. They can increase a tax without thinking about the poorer people.
