Raised Inverted head chute

I was trying to fall asleep earlier and let my imagination assist me a bit. I imagined creating an art exhibit where there is some raised inverted boxes perched on stilts. You stick you head in them and you find yourself in a museum about perspective. The boxes are dressed up like dolls houses with a hole in the floor for your neck. The idea would be to create a Kind of analogue virtual reality. I don't think ai is ready to draw this thought of mine so I drew it myself.

The problem with the rig itself would be that people have different heights. There would need to be a rig underneath that allows people of different heights to be level. 

The goal of the art installation would be to make people aware of how small and insignificant we are. Even if you were the king or Queen of the whole planet and you lived for 700 years you would find you are insignificant, the whole earth is just a speck in the cosmos and our whole life is fleeting moment in time. Even the materials that make up your body are made almost entirely of empty space. 

The mini museum would show you visually how even the entire galaxy is tiny compared to the universe and 85 years is short compared to the 13 plus billion years of the universe's existence. 

You would be standing in a fake museum; only your head would be there. The fake mini museum shows you how grand everything is yet it is small and nested inside an art gallery. If it is the Tate modern then it would be the tubine hall. 

The thought is nice and unlikely to become true but the main purpose of the thought was to make it easier for me to fall asleep, to make me stop thinking about things that make me worried so at that time it was totally constructive. 

Spirograph Dislodge

I don't know the word to describe it so I will call the issue I have the Spirograph dislodge. I wanted to create a catalog of all the gear pieces and all the holes to know all the different effects you can make. I started out with my favourite gear piece, the one with 56 teeth in a 96 teeth bracket. 

I marked each hole starting from the middle going outwards. As you get closer to the edge of the gear piece, it gets harder it is to control. The gear piece tries to jump out of the bracket and sometimes it dislodges itself from the bracket. 

Every gear piece is like that, the outer holes are unstable and cause it to dislodge from the bracket and mess up the sketch, you need a super steady hand to control it.  I was wondering, couldn't they just put a flange on the outside edge to stop the gear piece from dislodging itself. I don't swear very often but I let out a few swear words. 

"Frack your garden you piece of shit", something like that. 

My Spirograph Set

I have a large collection of different coloured pencils and pens, some of them are not much use to me. I find it quite hard to work with gel pens, I also have different coloured pencils and find the yellow, pink and peach coloured ones to be quite useless. 

 I thought to myself for a while if there was a way to use the pens and pencils that I don't like. Then I thought about Spirograph, Spirograph is a drawing set that helps to make repeating geometric patterns. 

I bought a Spirograph set and practiced drawing some 'Spirograph shapes'. I hope to use the Spirograph set to enhance my sketches and make use of all the pens and pencils I don't find useful. 

I used the paper that comes with the spirograph set to practice and get comfortable with using the drawing gears. This set came with two nested gear sets and one rack gear piece.  

I will use the Spirograph set to enhance my sketches and use up the ink and wax of the colours pens and pencils that I don't like. 

Art confusion

The year 2017 is nearly over and one thing that has not changed is my confusion about modern abstract art.

When I see modern art I don't understand it, I see a meaningless expression. I also don't understand why it is so valuable.

I could make a random scribble on paper and get paid many thousands of bucks if I knew the right people.
It's not fair in my view because I work so hard and I get a small payment. Someone draws a wonky line on paper and they get more than my annual salary.
If the art work had meaning and was fine or showed outstanding skill then I would accept it's value. But to me, it is not outstanding to create meaningless abstract images. If I was to find out that my tax money pays for these projects then I would be angry. I don't want to be angry so I don't try to find out. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I think that most beings that read my writings don't exist in my time. They are not born yet or made yet. If you are reading this in the distant future from my time and don't understand modern abstract art then you are not alone, I share your confusion.
