Barter Hero

I imagined a future where sentient machines decided that mankind needs only one religion so they stop being prejudiced and violent towards each other. The machine brings all the thoughts together from all the holy books in the world. Every Scripture and every religion is one in this world and the sentient machine makes itself into a God. The machine builds a giant talking statue that preaches all the scriptures and everyone must accept the talking statue as their God. Some people refuse to embrace the global religion so their bank accounts are frozen. People get frozen out of all transactions if they don't convert to this religion. The banks were adding more and more stipulations to keep their accounts open and people felt it was unfair, this time they have gone too far. You can't buy anything or get paid without a bank account so being frozen out means abject poverty. You can't even sell anything without a bank account because cash has been abolished.

Along comes a hero, the Barter man. A man that gets by without transactions, he trades stuff with stuff to get stuff. He has one paper clip in his hand, he knows someone needs it to press a reset button on their computer so he swaps the paper clip for a pen. Then he finds someone that needs a pen and swaps for a torch. Someone needs a torch so he swaps it for a drill. Then he swaps the drill for a bar stool, then he finds someone that really wants a bar stool so they swap it for a steam punk lamp. Finally someone gives him visa gift cards with £500 credit on them to get the trendy lamp. In one day the Barter genius traded a paper clip and finished with £500. The key to the man's success was knowing what everyone needs. He can get by very well in this terrible world until the machines start marking followers and killing non compliant people.

Blackjack Christmas

In a few days it will be the shortest day of the year here the north side of Earth. This means the sun will set at the earliest time. I believe the darkest day is on the 21st of December. When I think of the darkest day I think of the card game blackjack because in the game the goal is to keep your hand of cards close to 21 but not over. Then I think of the story 'a Christmas carol' by Charles Dickens. Then I think about the future. Then I think of Zoltar the fortune telling robot that sits in a glass and wood box.

I imagined an impossible situation, I would walk up to Zoltar machine and it would ask me if I wanted to hear my fortune telling. I would say "NO!". It would ask me what I want. I would say I want to play Blackjack. Zoltar would then stand up and leave the box and say "ok then", we would go to a cafĂ©. We would play for points. Kermit the frog would take over in the fortune telling booth. Then Jack black would walk past us, I would say "hello Jack black, would you like to play Blackjack with us, for points, no bets". Then later Zoltar would go back to his box, Kermit the frog would be saying to a customer that all the governments would run out of debt ceiling and fall into recession, there would be no food and you will poop out worms because you were eating food that's not fit for human consumption because there is nothing to eat, then Zoltar would say "THAT'S ENOUGH KERMIT!! GET OUT!".
I was also thinking about Bethlehem, it was a small town in Judea and the name means Bread in Aramaic. Would Jesus pick the place Bethlehem to be born in if it wasn't named after bread. Would Judas kill himself if he never met Jesus, would he do something else that's bad? What did Jesus mean when he said Blasphemy of the holy spirit will never be forgiven?

It think about death and trains every day. Not at the same time though.

Car and Global Famine Thoughts

On this last bit of summer, I have become convinced there will be a global famine in the near future so I was thinking it would be a good idea to store extra food that lasts a long time for a grim period. We all live off plants, we eat tomatoes and rice, farm animals eat plants so even people that eat meat are eating plants. When crops fail a lot across the planet then food will become scarce and very expensive. Best to store light things like pasta and not too much tim food, the tins would be too heavy and damage the floor if you had thousands of them.

I was also thinking about what I would call the 'EV super deal'; owning an new electric vehicle and paying only £200 per month for Finance, Insurance and Recharging. A car deal that resembles a phone contract. As far as I am aware, no such deal exists at the moment but I keep looking.

I also was thinking about e scooters, wouldn't it make sense just to paint an orange line on the pavement, the pedestrians know to stay away from the orange line and the e scooter rider knows they need to stay as close to the orange line as possible. Electric scooters make sense because they are powered vehicles and use electricity, they are good for the environment.

I also tried to imagine what an electric car would look like in the future. I imagined there would be more space in the cabin because there is no engine block and no bonnet, there would be room for 9 seats and the car would still be small. I also imagined the wheels would be smaller than today's cars because the breaking system doesn't use friction so the wheels don't need a large surface area to cool down, the factory that makes the wheels could fit more of them in a truck if they were smaller. I also imagined there would be a lazer projector on the car that projects dots onto the road because they don't make any sound and people get run over often so they should see the lazer dots on the road before the car. I also imagined the car would be covered in solar panels that let visible light pass through but use infrared and Ultraviolet light to generate power. I also imaged that the kinetic transmission is in the wheels, there would be no kinetic transmission inside the car itself. In today's cars, kinetic transmission starts in the middle of the engine block and moves backwards to the gear lever cartridge then through an axel to the wheels; in the future the wheels themselves would be the electric motor. This is all just a guess based on my logic.

What December 2019 means to me

It is January 2020 now, some of the sci-fi books I read in the past made tall predictions for the 2020s decade so I was expecting robots to be walking among us by this time, and flying cars and things like that.

There was very little frost during December 2019 and it rained for about two thirds of the time. Many of the rivers in England surged very hard and some of them overflowed slightly. Throughout December Australia's bush lands were on fire because of a prolonged drought. It is very clear that we are changing the climate slightly. Every part of the Earth has changed a bit and people noticed it in 2019. If Antarctica's ice melts too much then we will find ourselves flooded for good. Plus we could turn the planet into an oven trapping more and more heat until the planet resembles Venus.

December 2019 was the most damp and political December I have ever seen. Here in the UK we had a snap election to break the Brexit Deadlock. In America Donald Trump was impeached and will face a trial very soon to decide if he can remain the president. I actually got sick of all the politics and started to read other things more like Wikipedia and e books about the afterlife and things like that.

This December was my son's first Christmas, I have become determined to give my son many happy memories. We took lots of pictures and celebrated my parents 25 wedding anniversary in South reading in a nice little hotel.

Now... I wonder what the 20s will be like. Will my son have a wonderful childhood? Will I provide my son and wife with a decent life style and give them a good life? What will the 20s mean to Jacob and what will he think of it all when he is 10 years old and a senior student in primary school preparing for the 2030s where he will spend his juvenile years. What will the 20s mean to the Booths.
I pray for happyness and good health.

Mot and simplicity hopes

Today I am having my car MOT test, an mot is a UK car safety test. Somehow I feel that MOT tests in the future will be much simpler because cars will be electric so they won't need emissions checks. I also believe that cars will do less milage because car trams would allow cars to be transported across a country or between cities.

My hopes are living in the future will be a lot simpler because as a year passes by there are tasks that that are undertaken and many responsibilities, almost always costing money.

Disappointment

Today I was filled with disappointment because I saw high level people that were trying to stop brexit. Brexit is British exit from the European union. They think we can't prosper outside the EU. They also think that we need access to the common market.

If we stay in Europe or Leave I don't mind because I think highly of my country and think it will prosper, what ever happens. The issue I have is the way many people of the UK judge their own country. I believe that the Biggest problem this county has is it's self image.  There are millions of people across the UK that think we are weak. They think way are not strong enough to stand on our own. I hope they move to France, they can prepare their Hindsight speeches.

In my opinion, the biggest threat to the UK is not Leaving the EU, or the huge Dept we have collected. The biggest threat to our well being is our own minds. If you think you and your country are weak then you are right. Vision is everything. If the Japanese looked down on themselves in the 1940s when their land was in ruins then they would not have become one of the worlds greatest economies in the decades that followed.

I want to shout out loud. We are strong, we are strong! as loud possible. I feel fire in my belly because have vision for the UK. I know we can prosper no matter what happens. We can do anything unless we don't believe.
