Half of August

One thing that has changed recently is the cost of ordinary things like food. I see branded instant coffee  that costs more than £5, I see budget coffee at £1.50 per 100 grams. I see a single shopping bag of basic items costing above £25. I can't change anything, but I can try and stay cheerful if possible. I mentioned before that I finally got a virtual reality headset of mine after dreaming about it for a few years. Every day I can go to a happy place for an hour or two. I can go to a golf course or an '80s pinball arcade. Slowly I am building up my collection; getting add-ons, not all at once but slowly adding more content every month to keep that happy hour a golden time. 

You don't need a virtual reality headset to stay cheerful these days. You can get lost in a book and get joy from that. The more you read the more happy you will be. I found 3 old books I stowed away the other day; they were factual books about interesting facts. Reading a book is a bit like virtual reality, you visit a story or another world in your own imagination. Reading a book for a while will take you to a trance state as you forget about your life and get absorbed in a story. 

Armchair Creator

Things are normal these days. I was looking through the meta virtual reality shop for apps that might have a similar classy arcade lobby to the Pinball FX VR one. The one thing that is missing from VR is a treadmill that lets the user walk in virtual reality by moving their legs. In virtual reality you can walk but you don't really move your legs and your brain thinks there is something wrong after a while; it starts making you feel sick. 

Virtual reality is a nice way to be lost in your hobbies, you can just sit there in an arm chair and do all the things that make you tick. You can build a train set, draw pictures and even build things. It is even possible to fly in a flight simulator. 

Isn't it wonderful that a person can be fine just by sitting in a comfy armchair and doing their hobby. They sip some coffee, create something beautiful. Wouldn't it be even more nice if they got an income from their hobby. 

If aliens found Earth dead

In the movie the Matrix, Neo (Keanu Reeves) wakes up one day on a futuristic plasma hovercraft thing and is told he was living in a computer simulation all of his life. He doesn't take the news very well and hyperventilates then falls on the floor. Well if I wake up on a futuristic plasma hovercraft and get told my life was a computer simulation, I would pause for a second then think, "now everything makes sense". I wouldn't fall down on the floor.
I would say "oh! So that is why the moon's  diameter to sun ratio is the same as it's distance from earth to sun ratio making it appear to be exactly the same size in the sky". And "oh ! That is why light particles slow down their time when they are shined from a speeding object like a train to ensure they don't go faster than the speed of light constant". And "oh, that is why many dogs know there is going to be an Earthquake before it happens".

If aliens that destroy civilizations on other planets and leave the victim planets lifeless arrive here and find Earth is already lifeless, I would have a message for them.

Dear alien destroyers of worlds. If you are wondering why this world was an active civilisation and just recently destroyed itself before you could get to it, then let me explain.

Firstly, I understand that the preparations you made for this sport of yours was a lot. You had to travel one billion splilions (one splilion is the distance you travelled divided by one billion) and build machines that destroy worlds. Unfortunately, humans are party poopers.

If the details of what happened are not recorded in this printout of my blog then I will assume that some people on one part of the planet said "you are bad" and the other part said "no, you are bad", a bit like a pantomime. This continued until the finger pointing fools tried to make the other guys shut up with their strongest explosives.

If you want to know how people can be so stupid, then please read on and things will be a bit clearer.

No need to make a simulation of human reality to find out why your sports event was messed up.

My world so far

One role that I feel I should take up for the rest of this decade and the twenty-twenties decade is to observe my reality and record it. If I am lucky I will get an engraving machine and cut my writings into metal or stone plates that could be stacked into an obelisk and show future generations what life is like for an ordinary man and what ordinary people think.

In this time, people's skills are still required but they are slowly being replaced by machines. I don't know if it is just me that thinks this but I'm sure that machines don't buy things. I live in a capitalist society that relies on consumers buying things. If all people's jobs are replaced by machines then there are no consumers and no business. The action of businesses automating everything could only lead to their end. One system could thrive in a maximum automation society and that is communism. Money is worthless if it is not circulated so a society with no Jobs can't be a capitalist one in my opinion because people won't buy many things if they don't have a job.

The governments of the world are very hostile to other places and they have powerful weapons that can be used however they don't represent humanity because almost all people on earth have no desire for war. When I talk to other people I ask their opinion about other societies I get the same response, we don't view other people in other places as enemies.

The media and news make the Russians and North Koreans look like evil despots but people like me have no hate or bad views of these communities. I have no hate for North Koreans or Russians. I see them as my brothers and sisters.

I hope I can stick with this project and record history throughout the twenty-twenties, twenty-thirties and beyond.
