Brain Washing Observation

One thing I have noticed in recent months is people with a lot of wealth and prestige are accidentally brainwashing themselves. They furnish their homes with expensive materials; they put slate tiles on the walls and marble stone on the floor, they put granite on their tables and kitchen surfaces and birch/walnut wooden panels as skirting boards. There is nothing wrong with that but those materials don't have much colour (I'm British, we spell color like that). They Brainwash themselves because they see quality materials don't have much colour so they start wearing clothes that are dull and pick dull colours for their vehicles. I don't think they do it deliberately but I think they brainwash themselves by accident and the rest of the community into thinking less colour means better quality. I could be wrong though but I have noticed no one drives purple or light green or yellow cars these days, they see it as less quality and they prefer white, black or grey cars. 

I see it everywhere, I see logos that were bright in the past and now they're grey. I sometimes feel like they're using digital filters to remove colour from animations. 

When we think, everything is connected, everything fits together like links on a bike chain. 

I could be wrong though. 

Think pink

The other day I read an article on social media about pink being used in prisons to calm down prisoners. The article claimed that the prisoners were less violent and stressed when the cells were painted pink.

In the Simpsons cartoon, the sitting room and dining room of the Simpsons house is painted pink and they also have a painting of a boat in placid water. I consider myself to be boat heading for placid waters myself and that is how I define myself. The boat heading for placid water.

Would it be a bad idea if I bought a pink lamp? Would pink light or pink paint make me a less stressed person? I don't know but I pay attention to official research.

Blind and colour

It turns out I'm not the only guy in the world that questions reality.

Jim Carrey seems to be onto something and David Icke  is convinced we are living in a distorted world that is controlled by Reptile like humanoid beings.

I watch David Icke's videos from time to time. I don't agree with everything he says but his conferences are very interesting. I remember once he said that we can't see most frequencies of light, I think this is very true. I put our blindness down to the size of the cone and rod cells in our retinas, they are only about 500 micrometers across. The cells must be able to touch both sides of a light wave to detect it, so this means that only light waves that are close to the 500 micrometer diameter of the cells can be detected by them. Well. Infra red light waves are still very narrow but they are much bigger than the cells so they can't be seen. Ultra violet light waves are smaller but they can't pass through the lense of your eyes. With radio waves, forget it. They go from 1 mm to thousands of kilometers.

This leaves me with one big question. If we could see all the wave lengths of light, would our brains assign colours to them? Are there more colours beyond the red and violet that no person has seen? ( I spell colour the English way).

Do our brains all assign the same colours to the different frequencies of light. Is my reds someone else's green? How would you describe the colours that you see?
