Boris Johnson Quits Uxbridge

The former leader of Britain, Boris Johnson has decided to resign from Parliament duty completely. He wasn't just the leader of the conservative party but he represented Uxbridge in parliament as a member of parliament. This means Uxbridge will have a by-election, the local residents will vote to elect a new Member of Parliament (MP) to represent them in parliament.
If London was a clock face then Uxbridge would be  where the number 10 is on the edge of the clock. It is on the North west Edge of London next to the M25 orbital motorway (freeway); it circles London.  It also sits next to the M40 motorway that goes to Oxford and Birmingham. The intersection between the M25 and M40 is very close to Uxbridge.
I'm very familiar with Uxbridge, it is the part of London that is nearest to my town. I go to Uxbridge often and drive through it to visit my parents. The train station is shared by the picadilly line and the metropolitan one and is the last station for both lines. There is also two shopping malls there next to the trian station. I know some people that live there, they told me they dislike both the main parties, their votes could swing in any direction depending on who they hate the most. The new MP for Uxbridge will be someone they dislike but hate less than the other guys, a compromise.

Drought in England

I was listening to the news on the radio and they said they will declare there is a drought very soon, possibly as soon as tomorrow in some districts. I thought to myself that it is obvious, we have had just a few hours of rain in the last three months, all the grass verges and lawns are dried up and dead. There is wild fires breaking out everywhere. Parts of Britain had temperatures above 40°c for the first time in History that we know of. It's not just the weather that is unstable, global leadership seems to be in a bad place.
In 2016, David Cameron resigned as Prime Minister of the UK because the referendum was in favour of Brexit. That same year Theresa May took over but she resigned in 2019 because her team couldn't break the Brexit deadlock. Now Boris Johnson is resigning because he can't hold down working team. It was during the hot dry summers of the recent years that I noticed staff throughout government was changing very often, not just the leaders but the cabinet staff as well. Nothing seems to be normal anymore. It is like no one trusts anyone anymore and everyone is cold hearted. They love themselves but hate others.

I was thinking that there shouldn't be one prime minister. There should be at least five of them because ego should never be a motive to make progress. It should always be down to care and passion. It shouldn't be we are better than you because we get quick results, it should be we are doing things now for people that are not even born yet. I don't know. There are so many things I don't know.

July 2022

At the start of July 2022 Boris Johnson was unable to hold down a working team in government because they were all spontaneously resigning from cabinet duty. The reason was because they thought Boris' government were unlawful and unethical. He had no option but to resign as leader and start the 3rd conservative Leadership race. By the end of the month we were aware that one of two people would get the job; we now know it will be Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss.
By the middle of the month we had record high temperatures and from the 19th onwards, Britain recorded temperatures of 40°C for the first time that we know of. Throughout the world vegetation dried up and burned up because of dry weather and careless human behaviour.

The new space telescope called 'James Webb' was working well and we saw things we never saw before, we saw light that was transmitted 10 billion years ago, 5 billon years before the earth and sun formed. We learned that Galaxies flatten themselves into a disk shape as soon as they form and many other things like that. There is so much insight coming from their web site jwst.nasa.gov right now.

On my birthday I was given a smart watch as a gift, to me it was amazing because I could see my blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level and steps taken any time I wanted. It is like having a computer on your wrist. I never knew my average resting heart rate was 75 beats per minute, now I know. I never knew that my blood pressure was normally 112 over 72, now I know. I never knew my blood oxygen level was 98% in the day time and 99% when I sleep. I could take a reading from my phone without touching my watch and look at my health data without touching the watch because my phone and watch are both connected.

During the last week of July we learned that the ports were not prepared for Brexit because they didn't have enough passport inspectors to keep up with the flow of people going on holiday so many people were held up by hours and days before their holidays started, ouch.

Boris Johnson Resigns

I learnt this morning that Boris Johnson will resign as prime minister in Autumn. This means there will be a 3rd conservative Party leadership race. The first one was when David Cameron resigned, the second one was when Theresa May resigned, now Boris Johnson will resign. I think the reason he resigned is because many of his team quit. They felt that they had broke too many rules and caused the public to not trust the conservative party. Plus they lost some recent by-elections. Integrity is always very important.

We are days away from seeing some of the oldest light transmitted in the universe from the James Webb Space Telescope, it will be a summer of insight and a political summer for the Brits. We will see into the past and wonder who will be the next leader of the UK. It will be very interesting to see what happens. What will JWST discover and who will lead the UK?

When my son was born in Spring 2019, Theresa May was the leader but she quit because her team couldn't break the Brexit deadlock, Boris took over and his team was able to break the Brexit deadlock. But now he will quit because his team broke some of the rules that they made and caused the public not to trust them.

Omicron and Sleaze

Right now, a topic that is very relevant is Hypocrisy, Sleaze and Omicron. We have been carefully observing the Omicron variant of Covid19 and have learnt that it is quicker than the Delata one. We have also learned that the vaccines still work on it. We don't know if Omicron is more deadly than Delta but we think it will be the dominant strain of Covid19 in the UK very soon. It is our first winter with both variants so it could be very challenging, we don't know. I don't look at viruses as evil things, I know that other viruses kill microbes that produce toxic chemicals; Those viruses are helping us to live. All viruses that I know of can't move, they are transmitted by the infected person. Once they have been ejected from our body, they just drift in the air and water like bits of dust.

It was while we were learning about Omicron that we learned that the Government was accused of breaking their own lock down rules. They were accused of throwing a Christmas party when mixing in large groups was banned. The only evidence I saw was the Prime Minister (President) Boris Johnson having a Zoom video call with two colleagues that he works with every day, I was not convinced he was breaking his own rules. Some government staff from both parties were caught breaking the rules earlier in the year, all I will say is they were having escapades in their office and they were married.
I can see why some people were angry, some people were fined thousands of £s for hosting Christmas parties. Others were treated like a nuisance and spend a short time in reprimand. Those people would definitely be watching the outcome of the investigation and feeling angry.

The Brits are looking for more proof of Sleaze, will they find it? I don't know.

Level up?

I am the kind of guy that doesn't ask rhetorical questions. If I am asking a question it is because I want to know the answer.

I want to know how the Universe is 92 billion light years across and only 13 billion years old; It would need to expand faster than the speed of light to reach that volume. I am told that nothing can move faster than the speed of light. If it expanded from a tiny point 13 billion years ago then how did it get so big without breaking ultimate speed limit?

Then I wonder to myself what would happen to all those people that were around before Jesus was on Earth. Millions of people lived before Jesus was on Earth so they wouldn't have a chance to accept or reject him as their saviour. How would those people be judged if they didn't know about him?

The lastest question I have is what does Boris Johnson mean by 'Level up'? To me, 'Level up' means to be rewarded for making progress in a computer game by gaining more capacity to take damage or to gain an extra life. Is that what Boris is talking about? We didn't die this year so we will gain an ability be more strong? I don't understand what he means sometimes. I feel bad for getting confused.

Boris power

Boris Johnson has been voted leader of the conservative party, the Queen has welcomed him to the helm and he has made his speech and summoned his cabinet team.  Therasa May has stepped down, she did well I think.

Why did they take so long? We knew last month that Boris would win, he had more than double the votes as all the other candidates. Why did we wait until there is only 3 months left before the October deadline? I think they should have fast tracked his promotion.

My local MP Steve Barker happens to be the most hard core Brexiteer in the whole house of commons, why did he turn down a cabinet position? He has a clear plan in place. I guess he just wants to remain a back bencher.

Do they know that people like me get nervous when cabinet ministers quit on mass. When people are fleeing in a movie it is because there is danger, they are either running from an explosion or a monster. Yet the cabinet ministers and leaders are stepping down so often that they may as well go to Ikea and get a whole new Cabinet, I know that joke is not funny.

I wish Boris good luck, I keep my chin up for my island home. Rule Britania, my island of Hope and glory. May the Island of Great Britain and it's family stay in prosperity.
