Paradoxical Situation

I was wondering how an issue would be resolved if there were a conjoined twin that wanted to marry someone but the other twin wasn't interested. If two ladies were born, they both share a torso but they have separate heads side by side, one of them wants a marry a man and the other hates him. What could be done in such a situation? I guess they would need to compromise somehow, especially at night time. 

What would happen if one conjoined twin conspired to murder someone and the other twin was innocent. How would the court room punish the conjoined twin when they're joined by the torso. If you send one of them to jail and the other one would also go to jail because they can't be separated. I think they would need to make a special punishment for the other twin. 

Sometimes it is better not to think about it. I was looking at silly t-shirts the other day, If I wear silly t-shirts I could put a smile on my face when I see my reflection and I could see someone smile at my shirt and that would make me smile again. Everyone needs to cheer up sometimes. Some problems can't be solved, like growing old and eventually passing away. You just need to stop thinking about them. 

Pinocchio Paradox

In the story about Pinocchio, his nose grew longer when he told a lie. I was wondering what if he said "My nose will grow Longer". If the nose stays the same then he is lying, but the nose is also lying because it isn't growing longer. If it grows longer, it is also lying because it is indicating he is lying but he told the truth, his nose grew longer; whatever the nose does in this situation would indicate a false positive value. 

I don't have any answer. Life is like that. I can say what happened if I tried something different when was younger, I don't know.

Alien Ethics thought

Suppose an alien civilization visited earth in a star ship and gave mankind a gift. The gift was instructions for how to make a self replicating nano machine that kills all viruses. They read through the instruction manual step by step and assemble a tiny machine and release it into the world. 

A few months later, a vast cloud of Ammonia and Methane seeps out of the ocean into the air, fish start dying and then land animals die as well as humans. They then realise that some of the viruses in the world were stopping Bacteria from becoming too numerous. Bacteria that makes Ammonia and Methane gas was being killed by viruses but now they weren't because the anti virus machines wiped them out. But it is too late, mankind is doomed. 

What would be the alien's crime? They didn't make the anti virus machines themselves, they gave the instructions to people but they didn't tell them to make the machines. They may have known that some viruses are keeping us alive by killing harmful Bacteria. What if they said that it would be bad to build it jokingly so they still warned us but we thought they were joking. How would you even categorize their crime?  

Take a stand

In the Fermi paradox, philosophers and scientists wonder why we are not receiving any radio signals from alien civilizations. There are many billions of planets in our Galaxy alone and there should be many civilisations.

Well, I have a theory. I think that less the 250 years after discovering radio, the civilisation is destroyed by its technology and this happens throughout the universe.

Here on Earth we missed a few nuclear winters thanks to patient commanders that dismissed faulty sensors during the cold war and there are many nations that are developing nuclear weapons.

The problem we are facing now is people's jobs are being replaced by machines. You see machines don't pay income tax, they don't buy things and they don't pay any bills. They don't want anything. Capitalism relies on consumers so when the teacher is replaced by a hologram,
The policeman by a robot,
The GP doctor by a universal diagnosis machine, the bank clerk by an app and there are no jobs left then our society will fall apart because there is no tax revenue and no business and no trade.

The way to stop this is to refuse to be served by a machine. We must ensure that a human serves us and give bad feedback to any company that forces us to be served by machine.

Then we will get machines to improve themselves and they will make themselves more intelligent than us. That is another story.
