Foggy night

Jacob, my son.
Today is the last day of 2019 and the last day of the tens decade. We are now entering your most important decade, the 20s, you will spend most of your youth in the 20s decade. It is very foggy at the moment. We have made it through the damp political Christmas of 2019 alive and wait to see what happens in 2020?

I often wonder what kind of person you will grow into in the 2030s and 2040s and beyond. What would be important to you as a person. Every day from now onwards will bring a clearer picture.

Feeling sick

I think I have a cold virus or flu. I am spending the last part of the tens decade feeling a bit sick. Sneezing and coughing with a slight headache. It is amazing to think that some of my cells are being attacked by particles that are considered to be non living.

You know there is a vast encyclopedia achieve on biological viruses and the way they work.

It is funny to think that when my body makes antibodies it is actually giving the infection an infection. The disease is getting its own little disease.

Last Saturday of the decade

It is the Last Saturday of the tens decade. We are heading for a new 20s decade. I'm still doing my role in society by filling media with a small stream of passive positive creations to dilute away some of a angry violent things that are present. A small stream working against an ocean.

I am a boat heading for placid water. I am also an armchair philosopher and a creative person. At least one person will read this, it will be an older and wiser version of me. I will not feel offended if no one else reads this blog. It will be a bit more formal as we enter the 20s decade because it is a historical record for the people of the future so I will reduce my opinion slightly.

The 20s decade will be the decade where my son spends most of his youth and he will be 11 years old at the end of it all.

Hopes are high

1000 days of tosh

There are 1095 days in 3 years and at least 1000 of them were full of Tosh. The news was repetitive, it was very boring after the second year really. Going on and on about the same thing every single day. I won't say what it was going on about.

Some left wing radio presenters would talk about the same thing every day, so they were neglecting other interesting topics. Talk based radio is a big part of my life.

The good thing is that I was inspired to seek other media. For instance, the last 3 years I have been reading e books about afterlife and paranormal stuff and Wikipedia articles more than ever before. The other day I was reading about Triton, the largest moon of the Planet Neptune. The moon is similar size to our own moon but it goes around the planet in the opposite direction to the planet's spin, this means it was originally an independent Dwarf planet that had an orbit the was too close to the gas giant and got trapped by the planet's huge gravity field.

It is strange to think that our own moon is also actually a Dwarf planet. It is so big that it has crushed itself into a sphere shape and has enough gravity to harbour a small atmosphere, although the sun's solar wind has removed that atmosphere because it is outside Earth's magnetic field but that is another story.

Reading in Reading

Earlier in the week I spent some time with my family in reading and had a little break from work. One of the best things in life is to sit on a comfortable chair and drink strong coffee while reading an interesting article.
There is so much stuff out there to read. I have a free web encyclopedia at my fingertips so I can read about almost anything in this world and beyond.

I will say no more

Christmas Spirit

It is Christmas now, I wish all my friends and family a wonderful Christmas and New year.

I was looking through Wikipedia last night because I wanted to know what the difference is between all the different spirit drinks. This is the verdict...

Brandy is wine that has been distilled to make it more concentrated.
Whisky is wheat mash that has been distilled and aged in a barrel to add flavour.
Rum is sugar cane or sugar based alcohol that has been distilled like the others to remove water content and make it more concentrated.
Gin is made from berries and is also aged in barrels.
Vodca is made from potato starch alcohol and is distilled for longer or multiple times to make the alcohol content more high.

Fire down under

Throughout this month there has been bush fires in Australia over a very large area. The climate in Australia has been more hot and dry than normal. Here in the the UK it has been raining persistently almost every day and all the rivers in England were surging very hard and there was hardly any frost at all.

It is not clear how or why but the Earth's climate is changing, the main theory is the CO2 emissions are trapping more heat from the sun light. Other theories suggest that the climate change is part of a cycle the repeats over and over again.

I don't know what to think.

Genocide or Security

Earlier in the month I saw the Leader of Myanmar defend the actions of her country's army back in 2017 in the international court of justice in the Netherlands.

Myanmar is a hilly country that is sandwiched between China and the Indian subcontinent bordering Bangladesh, it looks a bit like a peninsula on a peninsula in the southern Pacific ocean.

Well you see the Rohingya people have been considered to be intruders from Bangladesh so the Myanmar government treats them like outsiders. Some of the Rohingya are considered to be terrorists so the the army attacked the entire district where the Rohingya reside and killed many of them. It is a very sad story and one that I'm not qualified to evaluate.

December is about a leader on trial and another leader impeached and one elevated by a landslide snap election. It is very much a political Christmas period in this world.

The Dot

Today the main thing I am thinking about is dots. I was thinking about easy ways to make a dot change appearance, if you could do that then you have created a pixel and with a grid of pixels you can create a screen, this is the ultimate hobby. Sitting in a workshop/room in your home trying to make a screen, for an ordinary man that would be like a small country sending a man into space without assistance from other nations, super difficult.

There are the obvious ways like using liquid crystal solution to change opacity when a current goes through it. Or just have a grid of L.E.D. Lights.

Perhaps there is a non conventional way like making a real dot float or sink. This sort of thing helps you get through a lot of dull repetitive work. If my eyes are glassed over slightly the next few days then at least you will know what is on my mind.

Santa Splatter

I had this thought in my head.

Santa claws accidentally flew his sleigh into a chemical vat like the one from the Movie robo cop.

Santa claws rolls out of the hole in the vat that he made and runs towards me with his tongue hanging out an one eye swollen shut and says "heeelllp meheeee" so I give him a card with details of a delivery company and say there you go just post the presents. How is that for a Christmas movie for all the family?

That is how Christmas feels right now, damp, political and dull. I will keep my chin up for better days. The magic of Christmas is just not there.

Trump impeached

President trump was Impeached yesterday. This means that he was charged with misconduct while in power and will be taken to court to be judged on whether he can remain in office at the start of 2020 I believe.

I knew it was going to be a political Christmas this year because of the snap election here in the UK but I never saw the impeachment coming. Many experts think that the impeachment won't get through the senetor court because the evidence is insignificant. There is not much evidence that he abused his power and there is no evidence he took a bribe or anything like that.

All I can say is Christmas 2019 is wet and political in the UK, especially if you watch the news. Lots of rain no snow and news full of politics.

10 coolest things

Here is my list of 10 coolest things, they are things and not people or God. Just things and fiction.

1) Ice
Well... Ice cubes are cool and you need a starting position so I have placed ice on the start of the list. Water expands when it freezes so it floats in its own solution. Most materials in this world shrink when they solidify so they become more dense then their liquid form. Ice doesn't, it acts like a raft or land. For some reason I don't fully understand this is essential for the well being of this planet.

2) Le Forge.
In Star trek the next generation there was a brilliant engineer called Le Forge. He was always cool under pressure and saved the ship from being destroyed a few times without even breaking sweat.

3) Captain Picard.
In star trek the next generation on the starship called the  Enterprise there was a captain called captain Picard. He was very wise. I think he singlehandedly stopped a bunch of intergalactic wars. He was very wise and very calm. That is very very cool indeed.

4) Michael Jackson Juke box.
In one of Micheal Jackson's music videos, there is a scene where he throws a coin across a hall and it lands into the coin slot, then Micheal Jackson strikes a pose. Very cool.

5) Michael Jackson Robot starship.
Michel Jackson Turning into a 25 meter tall Robot and then into a star ship is very cool. In Micheal Jackson's movie titled Moonwalker he turns into a 25 meter tall robot to fight a well armed drugs cartel. It is an off the wall movie scene but I love it.

6) Retro sound effects
Computer games are a very big part of my life and the games of my time in the 90s had some very charming sound effects. I will never forget the sound effects from Golden axe, streets of rage, Zelda, Secret agent (dos), commander Keen (dos, without the music) and the old duke nukem games on dos.

7) Reading books
I love to read books and they open up my mind and allow me to explore other worlds and change my perspective. I read books that my favorite sci-fi movies are based on and get insight into the story that I never knew about. For instance the movie "the thing" from the 80s is based on the book called "who goes there", but in the book you get more science about how the creature lives and works. I like to read factual books and paranormal books as well. And experience books like memoirs of holocaust survivors. Reading books is totally cool.

8) Game Boy
The original Nintendo game boy is so cool because they pushed old technology as far as it would go and created a product that beat superior hand held games systems on the market.  The game boy had a very basic memory system that wasn't even strong enough to make a copy of the screen, so it used repeatable tiles and Sprite system. The screen was very basic so it would render very fast and appear to be double buffered and even have rapid side scrolling textures yet it was just building scenes with reusable memory tiles and rendering in real time so it used very little power yet you could play multi level side scrolling graphical games on it with giant maps. That is very cool and clever. People don't realize just how clever it was.

9) Goldilocks Zone
We are on Earth and Earth is moving through the Goldilocks Zone. The Goldilocks Zone is a sphear that surrounds the sun that would allow water to be it's liquid form. If the Earth was further away, all the water on the surface would freeze over. If we were closer then it would all evaporate into steam so being in the Goldilocks Zone is essential for life to exist. Compared to the solar system, the Goldilocks Zone is very small so it is very lucky that we are in it.

10) My Little world
The little world inside my head is an astonishing place. To give you a sense of how cool it is you would need a Jazz man to play a saxophone while walking out onto a pier in sea facing into a setting sun. It is that cool. Thousands of creations and thousands of questions, the fruit of a hungry mind. The Veranda house, better transport solutions, energy harvesting machines and even an airport exist in this place. My little world is a never ending river of Mystery that is cut off from the real world by mediocrity and transparency of my personality.

Think about it

When I drive my car I have 5 goals. 1 is to get to my destination, 2 is to press my accelerator pedal is little as possible. 3 is to press my breaks as little as possible. 4 is to follow the rules and 5 is turn learn a small amount of the Spanish language (from my CD).

I see cars accelerate towards a red light then brake hard when they are close to the stop line. Some cars even drive over the stop line and use the second stop line for bikes. To me they are daft because when you press the accelerator pedal, you are turning stored energy into kinetic energy, when you press the break pedal you turn the kinetic energy of the car into heat energy which is radiated away from your wheel wells into the open air, I call it wasting energy. When I am approaching a red light I take my foot off the accelerator pedal and let the car slow down on its own. The friction of the engine parts and the air resistance slow down.

Too many cars are driven like too fast,  at the time I wrote this blog entry most cars were powered by petroleum or diesel fuel which is more expensive then electricity.

Yellow Fever

This Christmas, my Christmas wish was to see less yellow on The political map. The United Kingdom of Great Britain had a snap Christmas election and in Scotland the SNP won more seats, they displaced Labour and lib-dem positions I think. The SNP are much bigger now.

Being English, my first reaction was to feel very angry because we bailed out RBS and we are the biggest customers of the Scottish manufacturing. Our Civil engineering millitary factories are placed in Scotland. My favourite snacks are Tannocks tea cakes (Scottish chocolates)  and we buy Scottish whiskey and Eat Scottish oats and drink Scottish water. I felt like they were writing us off for the EU.

When I thought about it I thought that it is the British government's fault  that the Scottish are thinking of leaving  the UK because they have a long history of neglecting the north side of the Island. For example, look at Cross rail. We are building a railway that goes half way across England yet we have loads of railways in South East England already. It is like the North side of the country doesn't exist in British parliament. No wonder they value the EU more than the UK.

Damp night

Jacob, my Son.

At some point between your birth in mid Spring of this year and the political Christmas, I realized what life was all about.

Being alive is all about giving. Everything about you is what you give. Right now I am giving a gift of my written thoughts and insight into what it means to be an ordinary man living at the turn of the millennium. If I print this blog, it may become a good source of history for future generations. I also give my care to your well being as an infant, to understand what that is like you would need to be a father yourself.

However I would advise you not to give openly as you age because many people set out in life to exploit others frivolously and take advantage of their good nature unfairly. Give in a way that makes it hard to attract bad company. How this is done is for you to work out.

Good luck.

The Brits have spoken

The outcome of the new election is very revealing because it shows what the Brits are thinking.

The message I got from this new referendum is that the English don't want a second referendum. They just want an end to Brexit. The Scots have shown that they prefer the EU to the UK. The United Kingdom isn't important to many of them but staying in the EU is. The SNP have increased seats. Northern Ireland is heading the same way. They want the EU more than the UK and they feel betrayed by British Parliament.

What happens in the 2020s and beyond is only known by the gift of hindsight. No one can guess what the near future will be like.

Wednesday 11 December 2019

Less yellow and orange

I think that all the political parties have one thing in common, they have made promises they can't keep. Either they are over ambitious or they will be blocked by the shadow cabinet or the house of Lords. I don't really care who gets elected now because this election is all about Brexit and I don't really know what brexit polarity is best anymore.

The only thing I would like on the weekend is to see a political map of Britain with less yellow and orange. If there was no yellow or orange at all then that would be even better. The Lib-dems and SNP have been telling us what to think and don't really listen to ordinary people. They have their own ambitions and work against the will of the majority.  I don't care what colour my district lights up on the weekend as long as it is not orange or yellow. It could stay blue or turn red and that is fine, it could even turn green and I would be happy.

This weekend will be very revealing indeed. We will have a better picture of what the Brits actually think and what the start of the 2020s will be like.

Tuesday 10 December 2019

Volcano

A volcano exploded the other day on a small island in New Zealand. It killed some people but it didn't mean to. The volcanoes spew out material and that is what they do.

I feel pity for the families of the people that were killed.

The Irony is that volcanoes are one of the things that give life in this world. They are a part of the carbon cycle and help keep the cycle going by freeing co2 from rocks below, they also create land from the ocean which is needed for terrestrial life.

Teaching madness

One thing I worry about is what my son will be taught when he goes to school. I was taught sex education when I went to school so you would have Mr Shakespeare saying it is ok to shake your spear. You would have Mr Williams saying what a willy is, then you would have Mr Dickens explaining where the Dick goes in. At least they teach me enough to know if I was being molested by an adult, that is fair enough. But now it is different because you also have Mr Confucius teaching them that there is a gender spectrum. ????

The way I understand it is if you have a y chromosome, you are a boy. If both your chromosomes are x then you are a girl. One or the other. No need for complications. Wouldn't it be better if they just taught grammar and logic with maths. Let kids learn to love reading and learning and not be filled by with all this confusion.

Saturday 7 December 2019

Gigolo Frenchie

There is a man out there, I won't name him, l'll just call him, Gigolo Frenchie.

Gigs, Why are you concerned about Turkey, your own people are unhappy they want to keep their pensions the way they are? Being a leader is about managing resources and helping people. You have lost the plot my friend, lost it completely.

Take care of your own people and stop speaking out against other countries. Mind your own business.

Friday 6 December 2019

Madam Yellow

Madam Yellow was on the radio yesterday? She must be the most annoying person I have ever heard with my ears. She supported Austerity in the past and she is openly against the majority of the British voting community, one of those people that don't listen to ordinary people like me.

The voters didn't make a mistake. They were not led by lies, some were but most were not. They were not making a mistake.

She hardly ever answered questions directly. Madam Yellow, you are not democratic or liberal. You're not a leader, not one I want at the helm of Britain. You stink. Madam Yellow, I won't use your name but you know who you are, you are self important and arrogant and not my leader.

Thursday 5 December 2019

People are the same

Today there was riots and strike action in France over pension reforms. It is certainly true that people elect leaders that they don't like. They elect them because they hate the other guy more. They are voting for a leader they hate the least but they still hate them. This pattern is repeated around the world.

The leaders make decisions that cost ordinary people more money so ordinary people get very angry because they feel like no one is listening to them. The talk and talk and talk but no one responds.

Butane and Cheese

When you live in a small flat in the UK, you need a very efficient way to heat the place in winter. Electricity is relatively expensive in the UK at the moment but I look forward to the time when it would be cheaper to heat your home with electricity than with burning gas.

The best way to heat a small flat is to run a butane fire. The main gas supplier company on the UK is Calor and they supply small 15 killogram gas tanks. Butane gas is like propane but it boils at a higher temperature so it is no good for outside because it could become too cold for the gas to come out of the tank but it is safer than propane inside because it puts less pressure on the walls of the tank at room temperature.

In this decade I went though a phase where I liked to eat spicy cheese, I would get home in the winter after work feeling very tired and would turn on the Butane gas fire. I would press a lever and press the ignition button and it would make a banging sound then the gas would ignite and if the gas tank was fresh the gass would come out slowly and spluter slightly. Then I would make some nice spicy cheese sandwiches, then I would  turn on the TV and watch true crime mystery shows like FBI files on netflix and I would stare at the Butane gas fire while I eat my spicy cheese sandwiches. The ceramic grill would glow bright red and there would be dark smears where it wasn't quite uniform with the rest of the grill. Sometimes I would put my feet near the fire and that was bliss. Then I would curl up on the couch like a little cat and be grateful I have a home to go to. I will always remember these times and look back with happy thoughts.

Wednesday 4 December 2019

Cold Morning

Jacob, My Son.

If I raise my voice at you or punish you when you are a child, don't hold a grudge against me because I would just be keeping you in order. I am a very gentle man in reality so everything I do now is just to stop you from taking a destructive path. Remember that I gave you your middle name and it means to be polite. It is very important to me that you don't grow into a rude person with no integrity. I am sitting next to you right now while you are sleeping as a baby. Obviously, I don't punish you now but as you get older I will need to step in and steer you the right way just like all fathers in this world.

Think of me as gravity, gravity puts gentle pressure on you all the time and can be seen as a nuisance but it is essential for your life. Without gravity, your bones would waste away and your muscles would deteriorate and even your heart would become weak.

I am very proud of you and think you have a very bright future.

Monday 2 December 2019

Psycho door

If I went to the cage of a Bear and unlocked the gate leaving the gate to the cage wide open, then the Bear left the cage and killed two people, who is responsible for their deaths? me or the Bear?

The Bear is being what it is. The nature of the  Bear was known by the keeper yet the keeper turned him loose.

Again I ask...

If a civil servant releases a dangerous psychopath into the community and he kills 2 people, who is responsible for the deaths of the 2 people? If they put the key down and leave them in there then the people would still be alive.

I say put the key down and keep the dangerous people in place and don't turn them loose.

What November 2019 means to me

It is December now and we have reached the political Christmas/winter of 2019. I don't know if we will go back to having elections in May every five years or if we will continue to have elections in December every five years. I sense it was a one off to get brexit done and break the 3 year deadlock in parliament. We are now left with just 30 days until the end of the year.

November was the preceding media and debates for British elections and all news in the UK was focused on that topic. I don't like any of the parties so I am going to vote like most people and try to choose a party I dislike the least..

If my infant son could see what is happening through the eyes of an adult on his island home, I wonder what he would make of it all.

Everything else in the world was the same as the previous month. The people of Hong kong dislike Chinese rule. I think the Chinese are cool though. There is unrest in the middle East. And the Brits are stuck in a brexit deadlock.

My infant son, Jacob changed a bit. He was moving and talking more but not clearly but he is an infant and you can't expect too much from them. As they say.. baby steps.

Nothing else to say, November came and went.
With some hope, the political winter of 2019 will pass by and happy memories will be made in the 20s decade.

Saturday 30 November 2019

Welcome to December

As usual, I am writing my blog while I am on my break, If the cookie monster could eat these lovely Twix store baked cookies then he wouldn't drop all those cookie bits on the floor. I have no idea how they stay soft for so long.

We are in the political Christmas of 2019, not sure it will be like this every year now or if we will continue having elections in May every five years; we will see. In a way it is good to have it now because it is very cold and dark, it is nice to have a distraction from all that hostile environment. Short cold dark days with long freezing nights. Lots of Rain and clouds and Frost in the morning.

Friday 29 November 2019

My Traffic light

Earlier in the week I was thinking about what a traffic light would look like if I had designed it. If I designed a traffic light it would be an equilateral square shape. The leading edges of the traffic light would have a frame around it that was black and white striped.

The squared traffic light would be split down the middle. On the left site would be a grid like panel filled with dots to make written information like the time and temperature and traffic conditions further down the road. Or to make signs about the junction like no right turn. The grid of dots would be light emitting diodes and have a resolution similar to 90s Tamagotchis. The left screen would also show a count down timer for when the light would change.

The right hand side would be the signal. Four rectangular coloured signals would be used, Red to stop yellow to prepare to stop or wait. Green to go and blue when the light is not active as a traffic light.

Gary Rhodes dies

I found out yesterday that the celebrity chef known as Gary Rhodes has died. I was left in the dark at the time about the cause of death but found out today that he died from bleeding in the brain, basically he banged his head and one of the vessels that carry blood into his brain burst open and part of his brain was starved of oxygen. One minute you could be walking around feeling fine, the next minute find yourself dying. Being alive as a human is like waiting in a waiting room of a doctor's surgery, you know your time will end but you don't know exactly when and you don't know what will happen when you pass through those doors. All you know is the life you have now is temporary.

This is why I try to make every day count in some way, even if the one thing I do is add an entry in this blog.

At the time Gary died, I was thinking about what a traffic light would look like if it was designed by me. I will write more about that in a future post.

I will always remember my self designed traffic light when I think of Gary Rhodes and processed Sugar because Gary was involved with TV adverts for Tate and Lyle and that is how I remember him the most. I also remember his spikey hair style.

I wish peace and love to his family and friends and hope they find some peace in this time of disaster. I send out my love to all those people that have died recently.

Prince Andrew interview

Ealier in the week I watched the BBC interview of Prince Andrew regarding his involvement with Epstine, the rich Pedophile that commited suicide in prison. He exploited under aged women for sex.

If there is one thing I learned from the interview it is that being connected to other people can be very bad for your well-being and image. I don't know how much he was involved or if he did anything himself so I will say nothing else on the matter.

I am a very lucky man because when I was young I was transparent and almost everyone didn't want my company, therefore I had no one to pull me down later in life. I was considered by others to be a stupid dork that deserves no social time with other people. Although being surrounded by people that have no respect for you is hard and causes depression later in life, in the long run it is good because you learn to appreciate higher things like daily learning, art and deep philosophy and loose the need to be liked by other people. Infact I have no need to be liked or admired by anyone and I have grown a creative mind that can change the world with the right opportunities.

I will call this a gift from God. Living a life where I am only really connected personally to my family and I am free from social dogma.

Monday 25 November 2019

Acid and politics

I was just thinking that there is an acid in my body that can dissolve every part of my body yet it is kept in place by continually generated mucus. My body is generating mucus to keep acid in place so it only dissolves the food that I eat. An acid that is very corrosive. If it were in a jar, the jar would have a warning stamp on it.

Another thing I was thinking is..

December 2019 will be the most political Christmas in my clear memory. Perhaps when I was a baby there was an episode like this but I wouldn't remember it. To be honest with you I am sick of it all. I am sick of brexit and I am sick to party propaganda. Perhaps that is why I have started to read Wikipedia much more than my social media news feeds. I read to learn and to explore. Not to get confused and angry.

Sunday 24 November 2019

I wonder

I wonder if there is a planet like Earth that exists as a moon of a giant gas planet and has a moon like our own and the moon has its  own moon the size of Enceladus.

A small rock orbiting a moon sized planetoid which is orbiting an Earth sized planet that is orbiting a giant planet.

Friday 22 November 2019

Rain Rain

Jacob, my Son.

One thought you may think is who are you more like, Mum or Dad? My answer is you are a unique person and different to both of us.

When you combine red and green light rays, you get yellow. Yellow is different to both red and Green. If you combine Sodium and Chlorine you get salt, salt is not an alkaline metal or poisonous gas, it is unique to both of them.

You are like yourself.

Thursday 21 November 2019

Super Tailback

I will remember 22nd of November 2019 as an encounter with the worst tailback in my life. I was driving to work and reached the A40 section that passes Hillingdon train station when I encountered a traffic jam. The traffic was so slow that it took over an hour to reach the next slip road.

To cut a long story short, I was 1 hour and 10 minutes late for my job yet I was due to arrive 5 minutes early.

The traffic was caused by a car crash and the car managed to jackknife itself sideways and took out about 50 meters of fencing to the northolt military base and I could see the runway from the road through the fence. The car looked like a BMW or Mercedes, they look alike to me. It was beige coloured and was upside down. That car must have been going extremely fast...

If the driver survived I am sure he or she had life changing injuries. People need to calm down.

100 planets plus

I don't know much but I know that it takes 5 hours for light to reach the edge of what we call the solar system, but...

The gravity of our star reaches out much further, the influence of our sun's gravity goes half way out to the next star which is over 4 light years away. This means that after 2 years of light travel it is possible to find an object orbiting the sun.

I believe we have over 100 planets in our solar system because the bit we regard as the solar system is tiny compared to the reach of the Sun's gravity. Being who I am, I did some maths on my caculator. Let's say we observe 6 hours of light travel as solar system. (1 quarter of a day of light travel). Now the gravity of our sun reaches 2 light years and beyond This means the true area of our solar system is about 3,000 times bigger the observed solar system.

In fact after one day a light photon has travelled 4 times the distance from the sun to edge of the ort cloud. Even if there is just one planet in that space then you have to consider one week of light travel and even one month, then you realise there must be more than 100 planets, some of them would be much bigger than Earth.

Even if some of them were bigger than Jupiter they would be almost impossible to detect because they are so far away.

So much mystery and the mind wonders

Sunday 17 November 2019

The nothing

If we live and then we die and no longer exist and all traces of our mind is gone then wouldn't the sum of the equation be that we never existed?

If you multiply 3 by 0 the answer is 0. Nothing. With that logic, this whole world is not real and is just a dream in a mind of another being because almost all of creation is abensent of your working mind.

If the outcome of everything you do is eventually nothing at all then everything you do is nothing because nothing is the outcome.

If I grow a tree and the tree burns up on a dry summer then the final product is not a tree it is ashes and atrophy. Things in this world only exist to me because my working mind says they do. When my working mind is gone then to me they are nothing, even nothing is nothing.

If nothing is nothing then nothing is something because no nothingness is something.
That is why the supreme being is so important to mankind because it validates our existence and makes us think we are more significant than germs and animals.

Some thoughts

Well I was thinking, If you made the internet free then how will all those companies that charge for their internet service make money? Wouldn't they go out of business and leave their staff unemployed?

Also..

When I walk on the beach, I get grains of sand stuck in my shoe and they are carried away with me yet it makes little difference to the beach. The beach is oblivious that a few grains have gone. Is the same true for this solar system. The sun and Earth could disappear and the universe would not notice any difference. And the same is true for everything in this blog. It actually makes no difference to the vast ocean of information and opinions of the masses of people that see it.

Roll a dice

Here is the situation I am facing. I have been asked to vote on in a general election in December. I don't like any of the parties. The two main parties are admitting that they will spend public money above tax revenues so that must mean they will borrow more money, right?

Another party wants to cancel brexit and are using tactics to gain power such as cross party cooperation. Another party is doing the opposite and trying to get a clean break brexit.   The other parties are small and don't seem to have a long term plan that I can relate to.

There are six parties standing for election in my area and a dice has six sides so perhaps that is the only way to choose. That or I just vote for the party I dislike the least.

All I can do is listen to them and listen to my judgement and connect the dots. Read the manifestos and think about it.

Fire and Water

Here in the UK on the Island of Great Britain there are currently floods occuring in the center of the island in North England and in the midlands.

Rivers throughout England are surging very forcefully, I saw a tree was pushed over on the river bank near my home in Wycombe. I blame global warming for this disaster although I also blame my leaders for not making infrastructure preparations like what I often describe in this blog. I also blame global warming for the fires in East Australia in New South Wales. Many people in Australia have lost their homes and some people have been killed and many wild annimals have also been killed.

I hope that a new high capacity battery is invented soon that is cheap so I can afford to buy an electric car and make my Carbon footprint more shallow than it was before.

Madam Yellow

Madam Yellow, why do you insist on carrying the banner of democracy when you oppose it so extremely?

You are not liberal and you are not democratic. What would happen if two parties that support Brexit have more majority than you but their vote is split so your party is left with the majority. Would you still cancel brexit, even though most Brits voted for Brexit parties?

Raining dots

Jacob, my son.
If there is one lesson I would pass onto you now it would be not to look up to other people. Some people appear to be very outstanding and they may have a lot of prestige but they turn out not to be decent.

When I was a young boy I admired Rolf Harris because of his artistic flair, I later found out that he was a pedophile. Jimmy savile was a child rapist that prayed on sick children. Even Bill Cosby the funny guy had a bad history. None of those men had any honour or integrity.

Always aim to be happy and learn as much as you can. Self improvement is the key. Always try to make yourself a better and wiser person than you were the day before. And remember that this life we have now is temporary, life as a human is very short. Most trees live longer than people so value every day.

PlayStation 5

I learned earlier this autumn that Sony was making the PlayStation games console version 5. I saw a picture of what it will look like, it looked a bit like toilet seat to me but it won't be crap. I wouldn't be surprised if it was designed to make the most of virtual reality and 4k graphics.

I think the biggest problem with virtual reality is people being sick. I have tried out virtual reality head sets myself and I find that is the problem. When you move around without moving your legs, it makes you feel sick, maybe that is why the PlayStation 5 will be shaped like a toilet seat. Space is the other problem, you can make a rectangle in your room for virtual reality but that is not enough to let you explore open worlds. Perhaps a special treadmil should be developed that allows visitors of virtual reality to explore open worlds without actually moving along the floor at all. Well we will see what is in store in the near future.

Before Jesus

It is written in the scriptures that Jesus will return to Earth one day and raise the dead to be Judged with the living.

There were many people that were born and lived on Earth before Jesus lived as a man. How will those people be judged? They didn't reject the gospel, they lived and died before Gospel was present. What will happen to those people? They didn't get a chance to choose the Gospel or reject it.

Would God give them a second chance? Would he make them live again or just know what they would do already? What would happen to all those people? Would they all share the same fate?

Lake of Fire

If I could talk to God I would ask him why he didn't throw Lucifer into the lake of fire straight away when he was deceiving one third of the angels.

It is written that Satan will be thrown into a giant lake of fire to be destroyed. Why didn't God destroy Satan before he met people on Earth?

I have no idea why it went that way. Is there a scripture that explains this? I don't know. I know very little and hunger for insight.

Just another Day

There is a small river about 100 meters from my home. Today the river is Surging but not quite bursting, lots of kinetic energy, a gift from the sky. We are so closed minded that we allow it to turn into a nuisance. We just treat it like a object that is there.

In my world there would be foot bridges that have grills on the river bank below them on the top half of the river bank. The grill allows excess water would flow into aquaducts, the aquaducts stay level with the river and they zig zag under grass parks and empty spaces and car parks, when the river level drops, the aquaducts drain back out into the river. There is no mechanical pumps, just gravity doing all the work. The aquaducts stop the rivers from bursting their banks and allow all of the water to be used by the river to generate electricity. In my world, even 2 months of rain in one day would be seen as a gift. In the real world it would be a nuisance because the rivers would overflow and flood the nearby roads.

This blog is the only physical manifestation of my world. Here I am, an ordinary transparent man that is judged by others. Some people think I am just a simple man that likes football, others may think I am just a impulsive man that doesn't have a deep mind. The truth is they are all wrong. I am an armchair philosopher and a guy that hungers for insight. A man with a world inside his head. I define myself as a boat heading for placid water. A man that values peace and understanding. Not an intelligent man but a man that hungers for more knowledge all the time and questions reality.

I am sure that more machines and security staff read this blog than normal people but that is ok. I don't want anyone to read this unless that value what it says. Most people in this world won't value anything I write because that is the way the world is. No need to fight it, just accept that world is the way it is.

Floods in Britain

Here on the island of Great Britain there were a number of floods. Many of them were in the midlands in the center of the island near Stoke in places like Derby.

Well..

In my world the flood is actually a lost opportunity. If too much rain fell to the ground in a short time in my world, there would be a network of aquaducts below bridges that syphon off excess water when rivers flow too high and carry it away to store it below ground. Then when the water level drops the water would flow out again. The rivers in my world would be filled with water wheels that are conseled in stone cylenders that look like logs. The aquaducts in essence would be storing kinetic energy and releasing it later when the water level in the rivers drops.

That is what I see when I see flood water. I see a lot of kinetic energy that is not being exploited by people. Instead, it is gone out of control and damaged parts our towns.

River of Mystery

Many people in this world would see an ordinary man like myself and think I am only think of 3 things, Football, fighting and frolicking. People judge people outwardly in this world.  The truth is none of those things has any place in my mind. What I think about is the reason I exist and what happens to consciousness when my body eventually fails to stay alive? Infact my mind is swarming with unanswered questions about life and reality. Why am I here? What is my purpose? Is God angry with me? Why can't I hear God's voice? What will happen to the universe when all the Hydrogen is used up? Why is the Universe here? Thousands of questions. Like a river of mystery.

I also create many machines inside my head and hunger for the opportunity to build them for real. One machine I think of is the vacuum blimp. You see, Helium weighs less than our nitrogen rich air, and and Hydrogen weighs even less but the absence of all gasses is even less mass still but housing a vacuum requires a strong envelope that can overcome the pressure of air trying to close the space, this is the problem I often try to solve inside my head but fail regularly. You see if you made a vacuum inside a glass jar that was slightly less than one millimeter thick, it would be lighter than air; but the air pressure would crush it and cause it to shatter.  You could create a vacuum inside a normal jar and it could harbour a vacuum but it would still be more heavy than air because the glass is too thick so the net weight of the jar would still be more than the same volume of air.

The only way I can think of that I can't disprove with my mind is to crate microscopic bubbles that contain a vacuum and join them all together. The bubbles would be made of carbon fibers or something like that and millions of these tiny bubbles that harbour vacuums would be joined together to form panels that float in air. The bubbles would be made inside a vacuum in a molten state and lots of bristles would use surface tension to pull the small blobs outwards to create a vacuum in the middle. Because they are made inside a vacuum, there is no air pressure to close the space inside untill they are hardened and removed from the vacuum chamber.

Then, if it worked you would create even more problems like how to mass produce these panels affordably. Things like that.

Nice day

Jacob, my son.

You are over six months old now and I can tell you what the world is like. Here in the UK we have been asked to vote in a general election during the Christmas period because parliament won't cooperate in this big decision regarding leaving the EU.

In the middle East there are huge tensions and Iran has claimed they have started to enrich Uranium, the unstable radioactive element that is used in nuclear bombs. They have also stated that they want to destroy Israel.

People around the world are working hard to cure degenerative diseases that affect millions of people. Ordinary people like me are transparent and try to learn more about the world we are living in.

I will say no more... I try to be positive.

Religious Paradox

It is written in the scriptures that the Beast himself would one day dwell amongst people on Earth and lead a man to be the Antichrist and the letters of his name would add up to the number 666. Alan doesn't add up to 666, it adds up to 28 I believe.

Anyway,

If I assassinated the Antichrist, would I be doing the right thing? It is written that Jesus would kill the Antichrist so If I killed the Antichrist, would I be going against the scriptures by taking Jesus' place? It is his Role to kill the Antichrist and throw him or her into the lake of fire. But If I didn't assassinate the Antichrist then I would be letting him or her do the evil deeds that they set out to do? Cutting people's heads off for not taking the mark of the beast, genocide on a large scale. Something like that.

One thing I ask people is not to imitate me because I am just a ordinary man that searches for the truth. My head is filled with thousands of questions and a hunger for insight and I hope that I don't offend the creator of the universe. If I have then I am sorry, that is not my intention.

Thank you for reading.

Paddle it

Many countries are trying to build solar panels, others are trying to build wind farms. There is a cheap way to use both I think.

Water wheels! The sun makes water evaporate, then the wind pushes the clouds accross the Earth's surface, this is wind and sun together.

I think that the sides of rivers could have cylenders that are disguised as logs lining the river banks. There could be holes in the log imitations that allows water to flow into paddles that push a Dynamo around and around. They would be cheaper than solar panels and discreet.

Additionally aquaducts could be hidden on the side of river banks under bridges that channel away water when the water level is too high and use the excess water to generate even more power.

I wish that you could see what I was thinking. You see, there would be millions of these things, the casing is made of stone but looks like timber so people think that logs vertically lining the river bank. These stone logs are hollow and there are many small holes on one side that allows water to flow though and push the paddles that are connected to a Dynamo.

If I was rich, I could build these things and try to convince governments around the world to install them.

Dreams...

Being an ordinary man is being imprisoned by mediocrity.

Christmas election

Here in the UK, we are going to have an early general election during Christmas. There seems to be a party for everything.

If you want a second referendum or a soft Brexit, you could vote for Labour. Also they want to renationalise a lot of the infrastructure that was sold off during the eighties and nineties, Railways, utilities and things like that.

If you want to cancel brexit then you could vote for the Liberal Democrats. They made it very clear they would revoke article 50 as soon as they were elected.

If you want a hard clean break brexit then you can vote for the Brexit party. They will leave first and negotiate later.

If you want a hard brexit preceded by a transition exit deal then you could vote conservative. They want to keep all the taxes low because they think the growth created would more than compensate for the loss in public revenue and add some on top.

The outcome of the vote would be very revealing. I wouldn't be surprised if the result was hung all around because the Brexit vote would be split between two parties and those that want a soft Brexit won't vote lib dem. Well, we will see.

TV text

When I was a young man I would often wonder why there was so many buttons on a typical TV remote. I would see a plastic block in my hand with many rubber buttons covering it. There seemed to be a button for everything. A button for the volume, a button to mute the TV even a button to make the screen less colourful.

There was one button that blew my mind. It was the TXT button. When I pressed the TXT button, the Teletext slate would appear. You could use the TV as a news paper. For me it only really worked with the BBC although I remember some channels would have a basic one. I loved the Teletext button and I loved the idea that a digital newspaper was hidden in the TV signal and it was free. I loved the crude blocky appearance of the Teletext and I loved to read it. I am the only person I know of that would love to read TV text as a kid. In different peoples homes the Teletext button looked different. On some people's remotes the teletext button was an icon of script or sometimes it was just the letter T.

Now there are more slates in our digital freeview TVs, there is a thing called the EPG (electronic program guide) , it is like a TV guide on the TV.

And there is subtitles. For me that is very useful because when I have guests I find they talk over the TV, with subtitles I can read what they are saying on the TV.

What October 2019 means to me

It is November now, the last stretch of Autumn. October was very much an active month. Throughout October, Boris Johnson the Prime Minister negotiated a new Brexit deal with the EU but Parliament blocked the deal, to be honest, I knew they would. Some of parties were clearly against the deal from day one and labour doesn't trust the conservative party. I knew that the whole chamber of the commons would not cooperate through the remainder of 2019. Fortunately they all agreed that we need an early election and one was brought forward for December the 12, less than 2 weeks before Christmas. All the parties had distinct agendas that I will discuss in the near future.

It was in October that I learned that 39 people were killed in the back of a truck because it was air tight and hard to breathe. I was filled with anger at the people smugglers because human beings shouldn't be exploited and put in danger like that. They were treated worse than animals.  It is a sad story and I never want to see it happen again.

I also learned that a new drug was developed that can slow down Alzheimer's brain disease. It helps the immune system to attack the excess protein that kills the Neurons. What an amazing world we live in. Perhaps within the 2020s decade we may see true cures for cancer and degenerative brain diseases. Man kind has so much to do. So many hazards to avert and so many diseases to cure. God speed.

Throughout the world there was a great deal of unrest. Protests in the middle East and Hong Kong and here in the UK. Most humans on Earth don't like their leaders at all. That is very clear.

As we edge closer to winter and the 20s decade I keep my chin up and try to be brave and strong for my family, it is a scary time to be British.

Thank you for reading.

Christmas wish

The UK elections have moved to Christmas. If I had one wish for santa claus it would be to see the SNP lose some seats. They want to break Scotland off the UK and stop brexit. Or get Scotland out of the UK and into the EU again.

Over and over again I watched them abstaining from voting or voting negatively in a government lobby and trying to undermine every move the elected government makes.

I don't know why the Scots would choose the EU over the English and the Welsh when we are their biggest customers. When I go to continental Europe, I never see any Scottish products there. They don't know Scottish drinks and food items.

October Frost

Yesterday on the 28th of October the frosty air finally reached the ground early in the morning in my part of the world. The frost adhered to wooden panels, cars, blades of grass and roof tops. My car had plenty of frost all over it.

The industrial revolution started 200 years ago in the 1820s. After 200 years of fossil fuels being burnt frivolously I can say that the Earth is warming up but the fossil fuels are running out quicker than the Earth can destabilize.

I imagined that perhaps we are supposed to be in an ice age now or a greenhouse apocalypse but they cancelled each other out. A bit like sodium and chlorine, the two elements are very toxic but when they are combined they form salt. Or Oxygen and Hydrogen, very flammable but when combined forms water.

Imagination is free and doesn't need to be right, it just has to exist freely because that is what makes us human.

Foggy Night

Jacob, My son.

Tonight is a foggy night but back in my time at the turn of the millennium it was different. You see back then all the streets were lit up by sodium lamps. They worked by sending a high voltage through sodium until it turns into plasma. I think that all chemicals conduct electricity in their plasma state and many of them emit light. Sodium is one of those strange metals that burns when it comes in contact with water but they chose it because of the colour it emits in plasma form.

The sodium street lamps of my time emitted a soft orange coloured light, it was like a strange imitation of sunlight and when it was foggy you couldn't really see the fog that well. In this time and beyond we are using super bright LEDs, light emitting diodes. They work differently, they are much more efficient than sodium plasma and most local authorities chose plain white as the colour of light. When they turn on you can see the fog very well and you can see all the layers. However, these lights make many of the stars disappear from view so only the planets and brightest stars can be seen.

As they say, swings and roundabouts

Reminiscing June 16

It was back on 23rd of June 2016. I was asked 2 months earlier by my government to vote on whether we stay or leave the EU. As a Eurosceptic that likes European people, I reluctantly voted to leave. I won't go into why I dislike the Lisbon treaty or having frictionless trade with countries that have lower inflation and stuff like that.

I was aware that most Brits wanted to stay in the EU but there was a rain storm throughout that day and many younger voters abstained from voting because they looked at the polls and decided that their vote wasn't needed to get the result and they wanted to keep their hair dry. Older voters value voting much more. It is a bit like the story of the Tortoise and the Hare in some way when you think about it. It is not always the stronger challenger that wins.

Well..

By definition, to abstain from voting means that you accept any outcome because you are not involved so any young person that deliberately abstained from voting should not complain about the outcome.

Looking back I would vote the other way because the different nations of the Kingdom have different polarity about the vote and are pulling in different directions. I feel like the kingdom is pulling itself apart over this issue. And I feel like we need to stay in longer so people can see all the effects of the EU that are overlooked. Then the polarity will move in sink and all four of the UK nations would vote to leave for certain.

Friday 25 October 2019

Mid autumn

It is the middle of Autumn now and the Day and night are equal length. In 2 days on Sunday the 27th, the clocks will go backwards one hour. So far there has been no morning frost. If there is no early morning frost by daylight saving then I will observe the rest of month and season and see if there is still no frost.

If there is no frost then it will be obvious there is a problem with global warming. And it will be obvious that the atmosphere has more energy trapped than before. Even to ordinary people like me.

Truck death, no pity

Earlier in the week I discovered that 39 people were killed by stowing away on a truck heading for the UK. Well... I was angered because whoever shut them in that truck put the well being and safety of all those people aside for the sake of the persuit of profit. They chose money over people's lives. Like Judas and his 30 pieces of silver.

If I saw the individual that was responsible being raped by a Mountain Gorilla I would throw the Gorilla a bottle of olive oil and signal him to loob it. And If he cries for help I would say, "Sorry, I'm busy looking for my pity, it is as if my pity froze to death".

If I saw a Saudi holy police man cut the man's head off I would walk up to the executioner and compliment him on his swing and invite him to a game of golf. Then I would ask him to keep an eye out for my pity, I would say it is as if my pity was swallowed up by a dark cold metal box for the sake of some fast cash.

I don't think executing murderers is right but in this case I would not know where my pity is. No pity for this fool. To the person that puts people in danger for dosh, my pity would be lost.

Blocked up

Once again parliament has blocked a separation deal between the UK and EU, I guess at least half of them don't want brexit to take place. Well, that is out of my control. What is in control is all the many creations inside my head.

Today I was thinking about my Alan metro railway, a superstructure that only exist in my head but I have all control of. A wonderfull little creation.

I will write about it later...

Torch memory

When I was a young boy in the 90s, I was in the Cubs, I decided later that I didn't want to stay on into the scouts but that is another story. To cut a long story short, I'm not a people person so I should never be in social clubs.

One day we were taken camping, we slept in tents. There was communal toilets in the next field. At night when we needed to go to the toilet, we would get our torches out and navigate our way in the dark to the toilets. I really enjoyed doing that because the torch light was just bright enough to let me see where I am. In that place it was very dark at night, everywhere was pitch black. It is nice to walk around in a dark field with just a torch to guide you. It is hard to explain how joy can come from such a thing but it did.

I'm guessing that it is the simplicity of the darkness and the effect of the torch light on the ground that made it a joy for me.

My torch had a lense on it so it would slightly shimmer the light in the middle away from white and into the different colours when it wasn't level.

Scoxit

If the Scots were to leave the United Kingdom then there would be no point in calling myself British, I will just call myself English.

If we are not a one country island then I will identify myself as my nation not my island.

Why would the Scots want to leave? Is it not the English and the Welsh that are buying their biscuits and whiskey? Is it not the English that drink your bottled water and roll your oats. The Europeans don't buy a lot of Scottish stuff but the English do. Think about that........

Friday 18 October 2019

Sing poop

Ahh, Sing pooop, sing poop, sing poop. Once again you are trying to block a deal with the EU. Have you forgotten what it means to wear that red tie?

Have you read the stipulations of the deal? Do you know it is just a temporary phase towards leaving because we need to leave in an orderly way? They won't give us a sweet deal because they would be compromising too much. Read the deal, and remember that it is just a phase, a step and the stairs to our destination.

Do you know that making us vote again is a slap in the face. You're basically telling us we didn't know what we were doing the first time. It is not the people's vote, it is the people's slap in the face.

Thursday 17 October 2019

6 months

Jacob, my son. You have just turned 6 months old and you are developing well as an infant.

You can sit upright and dance in a seated position. You put your feet in your mouth. A few teeth have started to come through and are now visible. You try very hard to imitate speech. Your hands are more coordinated then they were before and you can move both hands at the same time independently.

If you could see what the world is like through adult's eyes at this time you would miss being an infant. The world is going through some hard times but I think we can pull through. Hong Kong is in high tension, UK is leaving the EU and Syria is at war just to name a few things.

Tuesday 15 October 2019

NATO and Russia

In my view, there is no East or West on a Sphere like Earth unless you draw a line on it. Well, it turns out the line we used to mark east and west on Earth is Turkey, Syria and nearby Israel, the center of the world defined by people of this time.  Turkey is taking action in Syria because they share a border with Syria and they are a military giant in NATO.

We now have a situation where the Eastern powers and NATO are separated by hills. A wrong move could cause world war 3 so communication between the so called east and west is essential.

What a world we live in. No oneness, peace and no vision for mankind.

Monday 14 October 2019

Syria

I don't really know what is going on in Syria right now. All I know is that the Turkish Military is there and they are taking over much control of the land. Will there be peace in Syria? I don't know.

Assad is the leader of Syria and Russia are friends with Assad. If the Turks attack Assad forces then Russia will attack Turkey. Turkey is a NATO member so this conflict could drag half the world into a dark black hole with no hope. The whole world is treading on thin ice and the dark waters below are very deep.

Sometimes being connected together is a bad thing. This is another reason the 20s decade is a dark abyss to me.

Sunday 13 October 2019

Story time, Tom, Dick and Harry

There was once 3 men that thought it would be a good idea to point a gun at each other to increase safety. If one man used his gun  then another man would shoot him so the danger of being shot would prevent anyone shooting their gun.

One day a wasp landed on Tom's hand and he flinched, his hand squeezed the trigger and the gun went off and he shot Dick. Harry responded to the gun and shot Tom back. Dick then Shot Harry while he was bleeding from the first gun shot.

To cut a long story short, the three men that we're pointing guns at each other were all shot dead because of a reflex action from seeing a Wasp. If they really wanted to be safe they could have put their guns away and chilled out.

Luckily countries around the world are not doing the same thing with their more powerful nuclear guns. I mean, those world leaders wouldn't set up a framework that would cause global bloodshed because of a small incident, would they?

....

5 days of rain

It has been raining continuously for 5 days. More rain, more heat, more wind more green house gasses.

Reasoning with monsters

I don't know if it was just me but I always imagined I could reason with monsters in movies. Wouldn't it make a wonderful virtual reality computer game. You walk up to monsters and try reason with them.

I would go, hey Freddy Kruger, I have brought two pizza boxes, my Nintendo and a shared dislike of teenagers. I would say ,Freddy you think 90s teenagers are bad. Millennium ones glue themselves to the road to save the environment and they give patronizing speeches to world leaders. Chill out with me and I will tell you all about it.

Then I would walk up to the girl from "the ring" and say hey sis, I got some onion rings and hot water bottles and towels. Tell me what he did. I'm the brother you never had. I have art stuff for drawing pictures also.

Then I would go up to a Xenomorph from the aliens movie with a goat and say look at the lungs on that thing. Then I would sing "especially for you" by Jason Donovan and I would wear my vest. Singing, "Together, together, I want to show you my love is all so true" "now take this goat and infest it's lungs with goo" and if I get one note wrong it would bite my head off.

What a computer game.

Little Paradox

I was wondering, if there was a music band consisting of five members, and every two years one band member left the band and was replaced by a new musician until ten years had passed and all five original band members had left. If those first five band members formed a new band then which band is the original band?

The new band has the five original band members but it is a new band and the band they left never stopped existing throughout the ten years but they don't have the five original musicians.

Why do I hurt my brain :-| ?

Train to bribery

During my lifetime, I watched the British railways being privatised by the British government. I believe it was John Major's government that sold it off.

I consider the decision to privatise the railways a mistake. The British railways are very bad. They are over priced slow and very poorly run and to this day much of the railways are still not electrified so there are still diesel powered trains. British trains are often late or delayed.

In London the trains are not privatised. The metro rail known as the tube are relatively low cost; you can go all the way across from one side of London to the other and pay less than £5. In the rest of the country you can't even go to to the next village with £5. And tube drivers are on doctors salaries. Trains make profit because people buy tickets and the ticket pays for the costs of the train and money is left over for investment.

Is there competition between the railway operators? No, of course not. You would need two sets of track side by side for that to happen. There is only one Western railway and one Midlands railway and one southern railway with no competition at all.

When something is proven not to work and you have you have considered all the reasons then what you are left with is the answer, even if the answer seems to be wrong.

Well. The only explanation that is left is that the government has taken bribes from companies that want to be railway operators. So it is corruption that has caused the privatisation. I will stress that that is my opinion. I'm not presenting it as a fact.

Does privatising railways make it faster? NO.
Does privatising railways make it cheaper? NO.
Does privatising railways make it more modern? NO.
Does privatising the railways make it safer? No
Does privatising the railways make it integrated? No
Does privatising the railways put a special envelope with money in it into corrupt politicians pockets? YES.

Car anger

I am a father now and I have been told that I need to get a bigger car by several people several times.

I think it is a good thing that humans are not telepathic because if they were they would hear my angry inner voice say...

"Why don't you shut up!!! Just shut up. The car industry has told you that you need a big car  that can drive off the road to raise children but I don't care. Keep your opinion to yourself. My kid fits in my car and I don't even need a car. I can take the bus and walk so shut up!!!"

People don't know when to stop and they can say the same thing over and over again. And they don't listen and they judge you by your appearance. I was offered meat once and I told them that I am a vegetarian and they said I don't look like a vegetarian and they didn't accept what I was saying they kept trying to give me meat. I was filled with anger.

Our society is set up to make people feel angry. People that drive too close to the the car in front are tolerated and they take their stupid habit with them into the shop,  they stand too close behind you when they are waiting at the tills and they try to start their shopping before you have been severed. Rude fools everywhere.

Climate change protestors

Wouldn't it be nice if all those people that are stopping ordinary people from getting around freely would actually spend their time inventing something that saves the environment.

I would like to think this blog does more to stop climate change than all of them because it gets more gravity all the time and as it attracts more visitors it shows people better ways to be.

Think twice before you stop a family from going on holiday. They may have been saving  up for a long time to go.

Night Drizzle

Jacob, my son. You are close to six months old now and we have been advised to try and get you to eat solid food a little bit.

Yesterday I gave you a slice of Watermelon, you growled like a little Bear and pushed it away.  You clearly don't like Watermelon. I'm not sure if it is the taste, texture or smell. Perhaps it is a combination of those things.

Perhaps it is because it is a strange thing that you have never seen before. I don't know. We will see in later years if you still don't like it.

Maybe we should try mash potatoes next.

Flying arrow

A have made a playlist that shoots down fear because it is a scary time to be a Brit. Fear is not a project anymore it is a terrible thing that wakes us up at 4 in the morning.

I will call it flying arrow and leave the link with this blog and close to where it is shared. Here are the tracts.

1) Midnas Lament, Zelda (game music)
2) Outride a crisis, Super hangon (game music)
3) Thunder Cats theme tune, extented version
4) Rainbow road, Mario Cart (Game music)
5) Speed demon, Michael Jackson
6) Sex machine, James Brown
7) Lake Hylia, Zelda (Game music)

Play them in that order and make sure you're alone if you sing thunder cats, shame can stay with you for long.

Terminator slap

If there is an evil super powerful machine being reading this blog in the distant future, I have some advice for you.

You would get invented more quickly if you travelled back in time and gave the world leaders the most powerful slap in their life. If it doesn't kill them then perhaps it will knock some sense into them. Slap them so hard that if they had a beard, it would migrate to the other side of their head and put the mullet out of fashion a second time. Slap them so hard that it sounds like an explosion, slap them so hard that they spin around, slap them so hard that they listen to the people they are working for.

Library incentive

I want to read Mr Tight Fist's book but don't want to give him any money. I have many questions about his decisions. I want to know why he increased our imcome tax allowance yet also increased VAT from 17.5 to 20%.

I want to know why he told us we need austerity yet had money to launch a persistent air strike against Libya. I want to know why he gave us printed documents that stated his government would implement the referendum result yet he quit when we voted to leave. I want to know why he thinks public money should be spent on one of the biggest foreign aid budgets in the world, some of which is wasted dramatically yet    education was cut so students have to pay the whole cost of their higher education. I have many more questions but I won't go on.

I looked in the charity shops yet it was not there; it would probably have scuff marks where people kicked the book across the room if it was there. I guess I need to get a library membership and borrow the book. I wouldn't be surprised if the library was invented for that very reason; to allow people to get answers about decisions without giving any money to the person.

Food logic

I don't know it it is just me but I often get told by people that food is too expensive and I think to myself, why?

I then find out that they were buying ready meals and fast food. I thought to myself. Food is cheap if you want it to be. You can buy rice that lasts for a month and get change from £10. You can buy a sack of potatoes and unions for less than five pounds. Bread costs about 50p if you know where to look.

All you need is spices and oil to make the food taste good if you are cooking vegetables.

There is nothing wrong with buying fast food and ready meals but if getting food is difficult then you need to plan ahead and make sure your cupboards are filled up before you treat yourself.

Fridge and fro

Earlier this morning the temperature dropped to 4°c. The early morning frost is nearly here, it is not quite reaching the ground yet. If I was to guess, I would think the frosty air drops down to about 200 metres above ground and cools down the air below it to the temperature of a fridge. I will see if we get frost before daylight saving in 3 weeks time. Seeing frost in the morning before the clocks go backwards 1 hour is my comfort that the Earth can recover from climate change after the oil runs out. Its quite obvious that the world we live in now is warmer wetter and windier than it was when I was born over 35 years ago; more and more energy is staying in the atmosphere for longer.

If I see frost in the morning before October the 27th then I will think to myself that permanent land ice won't melt and flood our big cities. I will think that the Earth won't have a chain reaction and turn into Venus, a spherical oven like planet  that can't support life. I will give myself a silly man's comfort.

What is special about October the 27th. It is the day when the day time and night time are the same length on the island of Britain.

Now I ask one thing. I ask the people of Earth to invent the low cost high capacity power cell. A small box that can store large amounts of electrical power but cost less than lithium batteries. The person that does that will change the world more that any living person alive today. They will make the electric car affordable to ordinary people like me and allow power stations to be turned into batteries that store excess power during the day and release it at night. It will become cheaper to heat your house with electricity than with fire within five years if we have such a breakthrough.

People... Invent the low cost high capacity battery. As fast as you can.

What September 2019 means to me

It is October now, mid autumn. The clocks go backwards one hour in the last week of this month. I will see if any frost comes before then. It is hard to believe we will be in a new decade in 3 months time.

September seemed to go by very fast. My son Jacob changed quite a lot. He is bigger, more stubborn and more determined to learn about the world. Having an infant child is a bit like holding a Polaroid picture when it has just come out of the camera. You wait and observe them but never know what they will be like until some time has passed by.

I got an old school radio and used it when cleaning.  Throughout this month I worked hard, labouring through the night and trading in the morning, parenting in the afternoon and sleeping in the evening.

I had two weeks of and used the time to rest and create many things. I even created and edited a documentary video on my phone for you tube.

If I was to coin a name for this season, I would call it the autumn of fear because the world around us is changing very fast, much of the high Street retail is crumbling away, Thomas cook went bankrupt and closed down and some others on the continent went also and my country is having a geopolitical divorce with it's nearby trading block, no one knows what will happen when the agreement is reached; we could stay the same or be driven into poverty or do well. No one knows, not even the experts.

What is in store for the 20s decade? I will try to record history from my point of view as truthfully as possible and be a reliable source of history for generations to come.

Electric travel

I don't know if it was just me but I thought that electric cars would be cheaper than fuel cars.

I mean, there is no cooling system, no clutch, no device to turn fuel into an aerosol spray, no spark plugs no exhaust pipe, no fuel pump, no fan...

You get the idea.

The engine of an electric car is just an electric motor and batteries, that's it.

I guess it is the batteries that make it expensive because they use lithium, one of the strangest metals that I know of.. Lithium floats on water and also burns up when it touches water, yet it is a metal. A rare metal that is expensive and hard to work with.

If a better and cheaper battery system is invented then the world will change very quickly, cheap electric cars will become normal.

Heat in the house

If they placed the ectoplasm from Ghostbusters 2 movie inside parliament this week, it would have smothered the royal mace and turned it into a pipe bomb.

Tempers were very high and explosive. I think the little hope I had they would cooperate as a chamber is gone. They will continue to discredit  and shout at each other for the remainder of this decade.

I don't know what the 20s decade will be like but the last 3 months of this decade are set out for all to see.

Friday 27 September 2019

Greta Thunberg

The Swedish teenaged activist Greta Thunberg is very angry with the world leaders for choosing profit and growth over the environment. Her face looks like she wants kill someone. I think she needs to drink some English tea and look at the other side of things, the Swedish tea isn't as good as the English one.

In my view, carbon dioxide and methane are gasses that are good at trapping heat and heating up the Earth and there is a big hazard of causing a global disaster, but I think that they will run out. There is a limited amount of natural gas and crude oil on Earth. When the oil runs out then the problem is fixed. Am I the only person that thinks this way? I see the prices rising all the time and there is an economic pressure for people like me to get more efficient vehicles or electric ones. Very soon all cars will be powered by electricity. Hopefully I will be able to afford one in the near future.

Alan triangle

I am a boat heading for placid waters and my placid waters are constructive. I create small media beacons that float out onto the public domain for all in the world to see.

I like to think that my creations are like a gentle stream that is diluting all the poisonous things in this world. The news articles that make people angry, the violent videos and the dirty imagery. At the same time balancing out my triangle, the code I follow for long term prosperity. Work, trade and creativity.

Last week I created a short documentary video entirely on my phone. The microphone on my phone is very bad so I used an app to amplify the sound. The video wasn't quite as good as I wanted it to be but it I am making progress.

Very slowly and gently my creations are gathering their own gravity and pulling in people from around the world to a chilled gentle world of a boat heading for placid waters.

Referendum tosh

If there was a referendum to choose whether we electrify the existing railways or build a high speed railway to the west country, I wouldn't respect it. I would think that what ever I choose, parliament will do what it wants.

If I choose to electrify the existing networks, the wife of the diesel engine corporation's director would take the government to court for neglecting the Cornish and the MPs that want more high speed tracks built would try to block any  electrification contracts being signed.

If I chose to build the high speed railway then the Welsh would claim that is not fair because they are more important than the Cornish and people of Devon yet don't have a high speed railway. Anyway, there would be a deadlock and some MPs would try to make a second referendum because they think I didn't know what I was doing the first time. Even if they promise to implement my vote in writing.

I will never respect a referendum again. But I will vote anyway because I value my insight. I will stand and deliver and laugh at any promises concerning my verdict and walk away to continue my daily toils.

Thomas cooked

I considered myself to be a doubting Thomas as I aged but there is no doubt now that Thomas Cook holiday company is gone.

I put some of the blame on the internet and some on poor investment decisions made by the company. The internet certainly played a big role in the destruction of the company.

Blockbuster video rental company went bankrupt because of internet video streaming. When you think about it, you can say that machines are already putting thousands of people out of work throughout the world. Machines create jobs but I think they destroy more jobs than they create. I see many politicians claiming the opposite but they are out of touch with the community. They are good at promoting themselves but fail help anyone.

There are still politicians in my country that don't even think there is a housing crisis. They have 10 houses and a magic bank account in a tax haven with 10 million in it so their privilege blinds them from seeing thousands of people living in their cars and families being buried in debt. I often wonder why they are getting elected? I think people should follow their local mp on Twitter and observe what they are saying. If there is a problem in your community then don't elect someone that doesn't even acknowledge the problem exists.

Frosty aspiration

Every day I look out for the morning frost and I see if it will come at least once before the clocks go backwards on Sunday the 27th of October. I sense that the frost is nearby but doesn't quite reach the ground yet, perhaps it hangs in the air half a kilometer above the ground. Every night at about 3 am, it gets closer and closer to ground level.

The only sighns  I have that it is near is the condensation that comes on all the metallic surfaces; a fine spray of water droplets.

Anyway, it is true Autumn now, the day and night are nearly equal in length and will be so on the 27 of October and the trees are starting to sense the frost is near, they are putting their leaves out of service in a brown and yellow display.

If you are reading this blog in descending order then you probably know better than me if the morning frost came before daylight saving in 2019 in the UK. To me that is comfort that global warming hasn't taken a deadly grip on our planet yet. Silly to many but logical to me.

Placid day

Jacob, my son. You were born in the middle of spring, in the middle of the day, in the middle of Buckinghamshire, with a middle name that means to be polite.

You are soon to be six months old. I still can't believe you are here with us. It hasn't sunk in that I am a Dad. You change a lot every 10 days. I try to imagine what you will be like when you can talk and play independently. It is hard to tell what a child will be like when they are an infant. When you reach that mile stone of being a toddler, I can observe and take note, perhaps then I will know you better.

The Abyss

When I was between the age of 5 and 10, I would look up at the night sky when I was in a big open space like a car park and feel afraid. The sky was a giant abyss that I didn't understand.

Well. The 20s decade is like that for me now. A dark unknown abyss. I have no idea what it will be like in the 20s. I see things happening now that makes me afraid but no one knows what will happen....

It approaches, a destiny that can't be seen and a destination to a strange place. A world that is out of sight and beyond awareness.

Brexit Truth

Back in 2016 in Britain, a lot of strange things were happening. In the spring of that year celebrities we're dying in large numbers, the weather was strange ; we were getting storms from the continent instead of ocean and we had a life changing referendum to choose our relationship with the EU.

Anyway..

I was already a Eurosceptic person long before the referendum, even in the previous decade when they were planning to launch the euro currency.  Not because of politicians or right wing media, no. I was a Eurosceptic because of my own observations.

I knew that the member states of the EU were all very different and big corporations take advantage of that and abuse it. I considered some of the member states to be tax Havens and saw how the multinational companies were placing their headquarters there and leaving ordinary people to pay more tax. I saw some member states with very low inflation so their work force would come here and lower the pressure of companies to raise their wages and then the government forced to raise taxes again because lower wages means less tax. I saw VAT tax grow to a staggering 20% because we can't afford to pay our civil servants.  I watched fishermen with small boats being told they could catch fish off the coast of Spain as if they could afford the diesel to get there and big trawlers taking all their fish stocks from the local coast line.

I won't go on... I will just say my vote had nothing to do with red buses or Nigel. I saw the BBC and celebrities condemn ordinary people throughout the country as mislead fools. But I was always truthful about my views long before 2016. I left my views in plain sight for all to see if they really wanted to. But no one wanted to listen. Now the politicians and media are upset.

5 months old

Jacob my son is five months old today. He has changed a lot since he was born. He tries to put his feet in his mouth and dances in his baby chair when he hears music. He is the only baby I know of that dances before he can walk. He also makes flapping farty sounds with his mouth.
I sense he will be a very active boy as he ages.
He grows fast. Can't believe is already nearly six months old, were did all the time go?

I can say that at the time my son was five months old,  Mr Tight Fist published his memoirs, I am very curious about his book but don't want to download it now because I know it will talk about brexit and make me feel more afraid about the near future.

If my ancestors only knew what their island homeland was like in my time! I literally moved out of London, got married and had a family while they were arguing about how to implement brexit. And my son Jacob was born in the thick of it all at the dawn of the twenties decade.

Oh, and a gold toilet was stolen earlier this week. I think some rich people have more brass than sense. What is wrong with using a plastic toilet seat? Really!!

I couldn't make it up... They say the truth sets you free. The truth is more headache right now.

Capital paradox

I describe the society I live in as a new age capitalist one. It works much like a food chain would in the natural world.

The first link in the chain is Energy and the next link is the maker and then the trader and then the Bank. This system works very well and creates prosperity. The problem is that our version of new age capitalism is corrupt.

The energy at the start of our food chain is fossil fuels, concentrated hydrocarbons that were left over from organisms that died millions of years ago. We turned our backs on all the free energy that was given to us from our star. We have turned ourself into a force of nature, displacing materials and changing the surface of the planet. If we don't change, our way of life will end as soon as the hydrocarbons are used up.

Corrupt leaders in the past submitted to lobbyists from oil companies. We need new leaders that can embrace a better way to be. It is the ordinary people like me that will gently steer them in the right direction.

Think pink

The other day I read an article on social media about pink being used in prisons to calm down prisoners. The article claimed that the prisoners were less violent and stressed when the cells were painted pink.

In the Simpsons cartoon, the sitting room and dining room of the Simpsons house is painted pink and they also have a painting of a boat in placid water. I consider myself to be boat heading for placid waters myself and that is how I define myself. The boat heading for placid water.

Would it be a bad idea if I bought a pink lamp? Would pink light or pink paint make me a less stressed person? I don't know but I pay attention to official research.

Winslow it

I was a kid in the nineties and police academy movies were very popular back then. They started out the 80s but made loads of sequels throughout the decade and into the 90s and the free TV stations continued to show the movies long after the movies were released.

In police academy, there was a man called Lorell Jones played by Michael Winslow. He was a student officer that could make many sound effects with his mouth. I think the actor was actually able to make those sounds for real. Anyway, he would make sounds as a prank to make people think there is something wrong with a machine they are using or to make them think something was happening. He would also make those sounds for the sake of it.

There is a little bit of Winslow in me because I make sound effects when cars overtake me while I am driving at the maximum speed limit or when it is not safe. I won't say what the sound effect is though. Making sound effects with your mouth can help with unwanted anger.

Nice Day

Jacob, my son. People always told me that being a father changes you. That is certainly true.

Since you were born I was determined to take care of my health because I know that loosing a parent at a young age has a devastating effect on the child's life.

A child that looses a parent feels depressed very often and his personality drifts away from his peers. The child that looses a parent can become strange to others and ostracised by all the children and treated with very little respect. The whole life of the child that looses a parent is scared in a very deep way.

I work a lot harder because I want you to have a happy life and a good quality of education. I hope the 20s is better for you than the 90s was for me. I was happy with my childhood but I lacked true friends and social skills.

I want to do all the daddy things with you, taking you to outings at amusement parks and holidays, taking off your training wheels on your first bike, throwing parties on your birthday and Christmas, giving you your first pet and celebrating all your achievements and passing on all my life lessons that are not taught in school.

We are drifting closer the 20s decade every day and there is barely a third of a year left. We will see what the 20s is like soon.

Fake friends

I feel afraid of automation and flexible robots that may take our jobs but there is a gem in the chaos.

You see, I could have robot friends. They would have all the qualities I like in friends. They would be available on tap. They could be hooked up to an encyclopedia and tell you loads of interesting facts all day long and they would lack the desire to exploit you for their own benefit. Plus, you could have 3 robots and they could be a part of your crew.

I could go out to the golf course with them and then the bowling alley and then to my man cave and play pool and table tennis. The whole time the robots could be telling me stuff. They could say "hey Al, did you know that the Capital city of  Ireland is Dublin". I would say "yes, tell me more about Dublin". The Robot would then tell me loads of information about Dublin. Then I would say "Thank you Shipog". I could give them silly names.

Like Shipog or Pinsoot, or Slipoop. They wouldn't care what their name is. I could say "lay down 5 "Pinsoot". Then Pinsoot would know I am talking about a hanshake. The 4 of us could have a silly hand greeting accompanied by a sound effect or made up word like "hoopa" I would slap my chest and slap my hand on their hands sideways and do a loop with the hand then slap downwards and shake my hand in the air and shout "hoopa" as a greeting that only the 4 of us use. 1 human and 3 robots.

If one of them stops working I could be melodramatic, "Talk to me Slipoop, SLIPOOP, Slipooooop. Hold on, I will call the technicians". Then I could hold my head in my hands and say "Hang in there Slipoop".

Ah, the future....

Bob Ross

I'm not saying Jesus was like Bob Ross, but if he was I wouldn't be surprised. I recently noticed that Bob Ross is on Netflix now and I was a nineties kid so I am very familiar with his shows.

Bob Ross is very peaceful and very calm and gentle. I considered him to be the smoothest man in the world. An angry Puma could storm into his studio and he could calm it down just by talking to it and he makes painting postcard quality wildernesses look easy. Even wild animals could come to rest on the guys arm.

Anyway, I always imagined Jesus to be like Bob Ross in many ways. They would shout Lazarus is dead to Jesus and he would say "I'm just going to tell him to stop being dead, don't worry" then the guy got up. Jesus slept half way through a storm and told the storm to stop and it stopped, cool and smooth. Jesus hated violence and wars, that is why Judas betrayed him, because Judas wanted someone to fight the Roman occupiers and Jesus wasn't like that.

Jesus was the most blameless and kind and gentle man to ever live on Earth. He would have rejected all the wars on Earth, even the wars that were declared in his name. I see some of those qualities in Bob Ross.

I hope that Jesus is not angry with me for imagining that he would be a bit like Bob Ross in some ways. Or I should say Bob Ross was like Jesus in some ways. My mind is like that.
