Backpack Flight

I was wondering if you had a personal flight system, what it would look like.  I imagined you would have a backpack with a folding stack of wings. They extend telescopically and form a stack of wings above your head. The propulsion system would be inside the wings, you would have fan blades inside the wings that generate a gust of air. There would be no exposed moving parts. I also imagined the fanblades would be nested inside a ring structure and it would have magnets nexted inside it, electro magnets would then push the outside of the ring with the fanblades inside. 

Unfortunatly the ai I have access to won't draw it the way I imagined it. We have paragliders these days, they would let you descend from a hilltop in style. 

Magenta Cavern Plantation

If you use enough detail in your description, ai can bring your thoughts to life. I often imagine buying a farm and excavating the ground on the farm to build underground trenches. The caverns created by the deep trenches would be used as a plantation to grow exotic fruits like olives mangoes. The trees would have magenta light shined on them, plants reflect green light so if you remove the green portion of the light, you're left with magenta; a mixture of red and blue light, some people would say it is purple. 

If you shine magenta light on a plant, it absorbs the whole ray so it appears completely black. The magenta light would be more dim than sunlight, but it would shine for longer and wouldn't fade like the sunlight on a cloudy day. There is no pest under ground so they don't  need to use pesticides. At the surface there would be woods with cabins that are level with the tree canopy so it would be like a tourist resort. 

I was impressed that after a long description, the artificial intelligence was able to draw an accurate image of one of my thoughts, now I'm sharing it with you the reader and my thoughts  are playing out in your head so in a way, I'm closer to you than the air you're breathing right now. 

I imagined a monarch or politician visiting my magenta plantation caverns and asking why the leaves on the trees are black? I would say they're not black, there is no green light for them to reflect. 

Fiber Now

Through life, I found many things that appeared to be a good idea but they weren't. Sega 32x, Zip drives, Domestic ISDN, those sort of things. I think 5g is one of those things. When it rains heavily, the signal weakens a lot. The signal is usually so weak that it can't be penetrate into people's homes. I think they would need antennas on every street to let it work properly. When 5g doesn't work, you're automatically switched to 4g an older heavily congested internet. I think even trees can disrupt the signal. 

I think the best internet we had for cost was Digital Subscriber Line, the advanced version: ADSL, advanced digital subscriber line; they just used used the spare phone line cable in homes with a filter to get broadband. I like fiber optic internet, we recently switched to full fiber, the cable is so thin yet it carries so much data.

Alien Ethics thought

Suppose an alien civilization visited earth in a star ship and gave mankind a gift. The gift was instructions for how to make a self replicating nano machine that kills all viruses. They read through the instruction manual step by step and assemble a tiny machine and release it into the world. 

A few months later, a vast cloud of Ammonia and Methane seeps out of the ocean into the air, fish start dying and then land animals die as well as humans. They then realise that some of the viruses in the world were stopping Bacteria from becoming too numerous. Bacteria that makes Ammonia and Methane gas was being killed by viruses but now they weren't because the anti virus machines wiped them out. But it is too late, mankind is doomed. 

What would be the alien's crime? They didn't make the anti virus machines themselves, they gave the instructions to people but they didn't tell them to make the machines. They may have known that some viruses are keeping us alive by killing harmful Bacteria. What if they said that it would be bad to build it jokingly so they still warned us but we thought they were joking. How would you even categorize their crime?  

Butterfly Effect

There is a theory called the Butterfly effect. It is a theory that very small things have a very big effect on big events. The main example of this is that the air pressure from the flapping wings of a butterfly can cause a hurricane on the other side of the planet though a series of chain reactions.

I can think of many examples myself, I could ask a driver for directions and cause that driver to avoid a traffic accident because a speeding car was due to hit the car but I caused it to be late for the event. Or the opposite could happen.

Our life is a long series of chain reactions and I often wonder what the world would be like if I wasn't born because I know that I leave a trail of small chain reactions that go around the planet many times.

For example, I could ask a doctor if cooking oil causes cancer, my question causes the doctor to remember that his oil needs changing in his car. The doctor then goes to a garage to change his oil and meets an old friend at the garage. They decide to meet up for a meal. The doctor and his friend bring their children. The children meet at the restaurant and fall in love and get married 2 years later and have one kid.

Now if I didn't ask the doctor if cooking oil causes cancer in this scenario then the doctor would go to the garage later in the week and would not meet his old friend and their children would not meet and they would not get married and his grand child would not be born. This is a bizzar story but that is how life works. Everything is connected and there are countless chain reactions to seemingly simple things. 

I hope that I leave a positive chain reaction behind me. And if you were wondering, yes perhaps this entry could cause a butterfly affect. Perhaps it may effect people that are not born yet. Well I would say, "Be Good".
