Christmas 2023

Two major events that stood out just before Christmas was the Prague mass shooting and Iceland volcanic eruption. They're both shocking events that occurred close to Christmas during the  darkest part of the year.
Prague is the Capital of the Czech Republic (🗣️ "Check Republic"), a small country sandwiched between Austria, Poland, Germany and Slovakia in the centre of Europe. I think it is an interesting place to visit. I won't try to name the assailant because fame may have been his motive, we don't know why he did it. He shot his Dad first so I don't think he was following a cult. Most religions promote the respect of your parents.

Iceland is full of volcanoes, I think they even use geothermal heat to fuel their power stations. Britain is close to Iceland, it is about 1000 km from Britain. I think this recent eruption came from a fissure vent.

Iceland Erupts

During the darkest shortest days of 2023, the 18th of December until now, there was an volcanic eruption on the island of Iceland. The eruption occurred in the Reykjanes Peninsular in the south west corner of the island. It was an amazing sight, I saw on the TV a river of lava and hot rocks spewing out across the landscape. It looked like Donte's description of hell.
I just realised that Britain is the nearest European country to Iceland, Greenland is closer but it is on the American continent. Iceland is just over 1000 kilometres away from my island. Perhaps I could visit Iceland one day. Perhaps in the summer when they have very long days.

Tomorrow the day will be about half a minute longer than today. Every day from this point onwards will be longer. It will take a few months before we notice it though.

Tonga Blast

In the Middle of January 2022 on the 15th, the Tonga underwater trench exploded because it was harbouring a giant underwater volcano. The volcano Erupted with so much force that it caused a Pacific Tsunami that hit the Tonga Islands, a small island nation was in peril. We still don't know how much damage the Tsunami has caused because they were cut off, I think power lines were brought down so they can't broadcast any information.

The people of Britain were distracted from the natural disaster because they were angry about the exposure of government sleaze. The government broke their own rules and had a large gathering and Christmas party during the 2020 Christmas lockdown. It was only a year before that we had the 2019 Christmas snap election to break the Brexit Deadlock, so this new stronger conservative government had won the trust of millions. I think The government were exposed at the start of 2022, there were leaked documents and reports of a Christmas Party. The Brits were banned from Christmas parties in 2020 but the government broke their own rules. We don't know if Boris was involved fully; he claimed he didn't know he was at a party.

Then a Tennis player called Novak Djokovik was blocked from entering Australia because they thought he was careless about Pandemic safety. More people knew about the blocked tennis player than the Tonga Tsunami, something is definitely wrong here. It was like the disaster was blotted out from people's awareness.

La Palma African Eruption

Throughout October so far, the Island of La Palma had a continuous volcanic eruption. The whole island is like a giant volcano. The Eruption spurted out a river of Lava that went from the centre of the island to the ocean;
It was during the October eruption of La Palma that I learnt that the Canary Islands are actually on the African continent. They are Spanish islands that are part of the African continent.
I always thought that the Canary Islands were in the Mediterranean sea and part of Europe. I was wrong, they are in the Atlantic Ocean and are a part of the African Continent. Perhaps other Brits are also ignorant about the location of the Canary Islands. I could say, "Have you been to Tenerife"? The guy would say "Yes". Then I would ask if they have been to Africa and they would say "No" and I would Say "Tenerife is on the African continent along with La Palma and all the other Canary Islands". They would say "No it isn't, it's in the Mediterranean Sea next to Spain". I would say "Dude you're wrong". They are Spanish islands on the African continent in the Atlantic Ocean. This means the La Palma Eruption is an African Eruption, I think the African continent is trying to pull itself apart and give birth to a new Sea in the centre or something like that.
