I was also thinking about what I would call the 'EV super deal'; owning an new electric vehicle and paying only £200 per month for Finance, Insurance and Recharging. A car deal that resembles a phone contract. As far as I am aware, no such deal exists at the moment but I keep looking.
I also was thinking about e scooters, wouldn't it make sense just to paint an orange line on the pavement, the pedestrians know to stay away from the orange line and the e scooter rider knows they need to stay as close to the orange line as possible. Electric scooters make sense because they are powered vehicles and use electricity, they are good for the environment.
I also tried to imagine what an electric car would look like in the future. I imagined there would be more space in the cabin because there is no engine block and no bonnet, there would be room for 9 seats and the car would still be small. I also imagined the wheels would be smaller than today's cars because the breaking system doesn't use friction so the wheels don't need a large surface area to cool down, the factory that makes the wheels could fit more of them in a truck if they were smaller. I also imagined there would be a lazer projector on the car that projects dots onto the road because they don't make any sound and people get run over often so they should see the lazer dots on the road before the car. I also imagined the car would be covered in solar panels that let visible light pass through but use infrared and Ultraviolet light to generate power. I also imaged that the kinetic transmission is in the wheels, there would be no kinetic transmission inside the car itself. In today's cars, kinetic transmission starts in the middle of the engine block and moves backwards to the gear lever cartridge then through an axel to the wheels; in the future the wheels themselves would be the electric motor. This is all just a guess based on my logic.
