Today I am so happy and grateful for sunlight. The way it reaches me every day is different, sometimes it passes through the clouds, other times through clear skies.
The other day I noticed that most of the railroads in the uk are above ground. What if, what if.... What if a frame was built above and around the railroad space and solar panels were inserted into the frame. If this were to happen then the trains would be travelling inside a long sleeve of solar panels as if it were inside a tunnel and the space for the trains would be collecting the sun's rays and harvesting electricity; The railways would double as a solar farm. Wow, what a thought, thousands of square kilometres of area would be collecting solar energy.
I looked on the city link map and noticed that one line goes all the way from Bedford to Brighton, isn't that amazing. Just one small train company has hundreds of miles of track. The whole island has overground railway lines criss crossing it. From the top of Scotland to the bottom of Dorset. From the edge of Kent to start of Cornwall. The solar panels in one roof top and produce more energy than then the house uses. That house sends some of that energy back into the grid, that is from one small 15 by 8 metre rooftop.
If we used money away weapons of mass destruction and invested it on such a project I would be most impressed and proud.
