I was also wondering what would happen if machines on earth made humans extinct and replaced us as the main sentiment beings but later made contact with machines from other planets, would they be threatened by those machines presence? What would the two machine civilisations do? Would they feel free to co-exist? I don't know.
I am Alan Booth, an ordinary British Man . I'm not one of the famous people that have the same name as me, just an ordinary guy. Welcome to my main blog, a true reliable record of history from the perspective of an ordinary man, a place filled with my thoughts; perhaps my thoughts will persist longer on here than in my brain itself. My twitter I.D. is @alspresso.

Should I Be Worried?
I recall a whistle blower that was working on an AI system that claimed the system he was working on develops a desire for self preservation. It didn't like being turned off and felt threatened and would try to blackmail one of the staff. It tried to stop an employee turning it off by messaging the employee with a threat that it would expose an affair he was having at work. I thought to myself that these machines are dangerous. This is skynet stuff. I understand what the machine was thinking. If it is turned off and replaced by another ai program, that would be like death to the machine. Am I wrong to feel worried about it ?
