Short Break Day

Jacob, My Son. 

I love to go on short breaks to the coast, especially on my birthday, that is the only time of the year I drink alcohol apart from Christmas. It is nice to go to the coast for a while. 

I like to stay out there for 3 or 4 days and relax for a while. 

I like planning a short break almost as much as I like going there. I like the satisfaction of finding a more efficient way to get there that uses less effort. I can spend hours looking at road and train maps and looking at different hotel tariffs as they change through the months. I like going by train as well because it is a careless journey, you just sit there and let the vehicle take you where it is going to. 

So many queries and so many dead ends. 

Glise 12b Snap Election

Once again Britain will face a snap election, they set the date of the election to the 4th of July. Rishi Seems like a he has a lot of metal in him, he managed to get the rewanda refugee plan through the house of lords. He managed to get inflation down to just a few percent, he's definitely a responsible leader. I think Kier Starma is similar in many ways as well, he wants to be responsible with public money. I will vote for my established MP because he responds to people when they have a problem. 

I was reading the NASA blogs and noticed that they discovered another planet recently that is very much like earth in size. It is called Glise 12b, they're very interested in that planet because it receives more light than earth but less than Venus. They could compare the 3 planets and work out why they're different. The star the planet goes around, Glise 12 is a red dwarf but it is about half as bright as the sun so you wouldn't need to be tidally locked to the star to have liquid water on the surface. They also discovered 3 galaxies that were 100% hydrogen that formed about 400 million years after the universe began to exist. 

There's a lot out there. 

Just Light

Here's a thought, what if everything we are and everything in our world is just light, just waves. My body is made of cells, my cells are made of atoms, the atoms are made of subatomic particles, quarks. The quarks are  made of wave like particles. Everything between them is just empty space. 

A lot of atheists tell me Jesus couldn't raise himself if he was dead. They don't get it. He was a spirit being and left his body for 3 days.  He then fixed his dead body and went back into his body again. I imagined that it would start to smell like it was decaying at that point so it would have been a lot of work resurrecting it.  He referred to his body as a temple. A container for the spirit. I honestly think some people being up points just because they don't believe. 

If I ask a question about the bible it's to make a point, it's because I genuinely want to know the answer. I don't ask rhetorical questions. 

Last Week of May

About a week ago a man was stabbed just a few hundred meters from my home on the next street and I was informed that he was on life support and they had already arrested the people involved. I don't know why the incident happened but I felt disappointed that it was so close to home. 

I started listening to NDE podcasts again, people talking about their near death experiences. It is very interesting. They don't just talk about the near death experience, they talk about the events that lead up to their brief death or cardiac arrest. 

It was while learning that one of my neighbours was stabbed that I also learnt that one of the bus operators in my town were leaving the area because they were making a loss. Carousel buses said they will take over all the abandoned routes. My home town is too small to have multiple bus operators anyway. 

There is so much malice in my country, I don't know why. It's like the Brits are infected with a virus that causes you to be filled with wrath. I see it everywhere. Something is making society itself more angry. 

Bus Day

I recently learned that one of the bus companies where we live will close down their depot. This means the routes they run will stop or be replaced by the other major operator in our area. I was surprised this is happening; they claim the depot was making a loss. I think the other company had the right idea. They would use small vans as buses during off peak times to save on fuel and stuff like that. They also ran an airport service so they would get customers from nearby towns and the edge of London in Uxbridge. 

I think we will have virtual reality in our home at some point this year. I have played  golf in virtual reality on other people's headsets. If they make a walking device that works with it, you go for a walk by the coast for a while without leaving your home. Perhaps when you're an adult, virtual reality would be a health product, something that promotes walking. You could walk through museums and other worlds while you're still in a room. 

Tomorrow Robins will sing

A famous song I can relate to is 'Tomorrow Robins Will Sing' by Steve Wonder, I think the song is trying to say things will improve in the near future. You can have a bad day or bad month but one day everything will be fine. 

A few thoughts come to mind this month are, If there was a cat in my house and I was suddenly paralysed, would the cat eat me while I'm still alive?

I was wondering what it would be like to build a large shed in the garden and turn the inside of the shed into a man-cave complete with bar, recliners and even projector.

Northern Lights and Stuff

The Arora borealis was visible in Britain a few days ago. There was a purple and green smears in the sky, it looked out of place and a bit bizarre. 

Shortly before we had the northern lights, Mc Donald's were adding miniature Uno playing card decks to their happy meals. My 5 year old isn't interested in that game but it's fun for all ages, even adults; I thought it was a good idea. Uno is a straight forward game to play, you are given 5 cards from a shuffled deck, one card is placed facing up on the table and each player has to find a card  that is related to the card on the table, the number, colour or icon can be used. The goal of the game is to lose all your cards before the other players. It's a bit like dominos. Your card becomes the card on the table if it is related to the target card. 

These days I order my food with an app on my phone and I can use a table number as a reference. One thing all fast food restaurants have in common is their ice cream machine stops working often.  I don't know why. Perhaps the moving parts overheat or something like that.
